I get what you are saying, but do you really think that the events of last night could cripple Favors relationship with the Jazz to the point where he will want to leave when his contract is up? Don't you think favors will realize that Playing KAnter made sense. That is what i am trying to get across. Won't Favors think, hey, KAnter played really well last night. I understand why Coach Ty didn't get me back in. It was Kanter that led the charge to get us back in the game and plus, it isn't like Coach could just do ththe big lineup, becasue that would mean Sap
would have to guard J.J. Redick....???

I think the players think Ty doesn't manage playing time well. I think last night was gross negligence on the part of not finding a single minute to play Favors in the 4th or OT.
I'm not talking about one game. I'm talking about last year, this year .. last night was a ****ing 5 ton cherry on top.

I think Jerry Sloan might have done the same thing. Perhaps. Do you really think last night could cause Favors to want to leave the Jazz?
Why would he want to stay. Better than both the starters averaging 10 MPG less. No extra minutes in the game of his life. Who would want to play for a coach that does not reward you for playing well.

Why? On a scale of 1 - 10 how do you see Corbin as a;

- Player dev't coach - 7.5 ( Favors, Kanter, Burks, Hayward are all developing nicely IMO, slower than we would like maybe but I can see they are getting better
- Offensive coach - 7 ( Utah is 11th in ppg, 13th in fg%, 13th in 3 pt % ... the Jazz aren't bad offensively, boring maybe but not bad.
- Defensive coach - 6 ( Utah is 17th in scoring D, and 18th in defensive FG % ... got to be better than that
- Player management (locker room, buy-in to a common vision/goal) - 7 ( Everyone seems to get along, other than Raja no one seems to hate their life
- Game management (substitutions, x's and o's) - 6 ( I think he makes mistakes, I also think everyone here uses hindsight, overreacts, and doesn't give him credit when he does something right. He definitely can do better but I feel like he gets a bad rap a lot of the time.

Before anyone answers, please be advised I'll ask for specific evidence that corroborates any favorable (no pun intended) answers.

There ya gooooooo

At what point do you think he should have gone away from Kanter?

When a Player is having a game like Favors last night they want to play. Losing the game while watching from the bench makes it 10X worse. Players don't look at what makes sense (besides it didn't make sense) if they feel they should play and they are not. In the off season Favors referenced that one of his goals this year was to play more. He's not. He's playing the same or less and is not being rewarded for playing better. I'd not argue that Kanter should stay in. I'll argue that Millsap should not have been in.
.
If sap has to guard Reddick who is Reddick going to guard? Because Sap, Kanter and Favors would abuse him for high % shots in the post if he guarded any of them.

So you reward Favors' outstanding game with a benching for the final 17 minutes? And this is good for our future how? Just piss off one of your most talented players having the game of his life for Paul Millsap who is gone this off season? In no way can anybody make any of that make sense to me. It's ****ing stupid and very short sighted.

Yeah, all we need is a bunch of divas who haven't earned a solidified spot in the starting rotation & still can't be benched for Enes Kanter when he's on fire.

I think people on here just like to complain in general. Even if Favors and Kanter had played the whole game, if the Jazz had lost, people would complain about it.

Some would, not the majority. I can promise I wouldn't be complaining under those circumstances.

Favors had 6 points in the 3rd. How many did Millsap and Enes have? Serious question, I'm trying to get a better understanding of how hot each of these players were in relation to each other to read the validity of this argument.

Favors was playing great. He needed a rest and got a long one.

That's the problem he has earned the spot he's just not getting it. No reward for a young superior player. And I have yet to see anybody say that Kanter is the guy he should replace.
.
But you go ahead and keep dreaming we are making that argument.

If J.J is getting wide open 3's or even just good looks, I am thinking that is going to hurt you even if you have a favorable matchup where you are only getting 2's. Plus, If Sap had been Guarding Redick, I have got to think that our rotations on the perimater would have been slower, and it was the bucks swinging the ball around the perimater for good looks that killed us.

Corbin apologists are saying that it was fine to leave Favors on the bench because Millsap and Kanter were playing well. So, if Corbin had suddenly subbed out either of those players for Favors, would you seriously have been upset?
