It' s time

It's time for this thread, and it's time for Kevin O Connor's head.

I am confident that this incompetent fool will not be able or willing to make a much needed trade for this team before the trade deadline. He has put us in a spot where we cant win a championship, nor can we rebuild properly.

Seriously! What kind of GM creates a team where a bunch of high draft picks are buried on the bench behind a bunch a bunch of over paid going no where average nobody's. Ill tell you what kind of GM . The GM that trades away your franchise player, when every other GM in the league is clamoring to get guys like that. If O'Connor would have made a move years ago with Boozer or Okur when they had high value then maybe Deron wouldnt have grown disgruntled. But No, instead he is content with staying put and not taking any risks.

And then there are moves like the Al Jefferson trade. We essentially gave up 3 first rounders for a guy who is over paid and is a offensive killing ball hog. Now we cant give the guy away. And then there is the signing of Raja Bell and passing on a Wes Mathews at a bargain. That one says it all.
There are plenty more examples of bone headed moves. Ill let the rest of you throw them out there. The point is that this guy sucks. And has no clue what he is doing. And he gets far more support from the fan base than he deserves.

I pray for the good of the team that I am wrong and he pulls a great trade out of his *** soon. But I dont believe its going to happen. Im seriously worried we are putting a sour taste in the mouths of our young guys. And that we are just going to see a repeat of the Deron Williams Sogga, where a guy like Derrick Favors gets annoyed with the way the team is ran and ends up wanting an early exit from the team too. I dont blame Ty Corbin because he is in a tuff spot and is doing what he can.

Im tired of this clown Kevin O Connor not recognizing where this franchise is at right now. Which is rebuilding mode, not championship chasing mode. He wasting our opportunity to stack draft picks and get valuable experience for our young guys.

So lets start chanting at the games and holding up our signs now ,that we need to Fire Kevin O Connor, before its too late. Before he screws up this go around.

Signed,

The Troll

Its inevitable that either millsap or Jefferson has to be moved. We cant let two 3rd overall picks rot on the bench. Can you imagine doing this all over again next year since Millsap and Jefferson have another year each. And Favors sitting on the bench for the first three years of his career. Even if these guys dont turn out to be Allstars, we still need to find out what they are worth. Especially since we spent Deron Williams on them and the clock is ticking. There is no guarantee that we will have them a long time.

So you're entire reason for firing KOC is because you think he will not pull off a big deal so the Jazz can play the guys he got by pulling off a big deal?

Yeah let's hurry and make a trade so we can possibly make the 8th seed as a playoff team and get swept but hey, at least we can say we made the playoffs right? When are fans going to realize that it's about winning championships and not just getting content with being in the playoffs? No trade we do this season is going to help us at all. So why even bother? Just deal with what we have and call it what it is, a ****ty season.

I agee with how you started out but you ended up losing me. For example I thinka trade that allows the rooks more time to develop and maybe gets us a better PG would make the Jazz better. Just because we suck now is no reason not to try and continue finding the right pieces to complement our core.

I should have further explained. I believe a lot of fans want a trade done for the purpose of doing something with THIS season. If a trade will help us in the long run, I'm all for it. But a lot of fans out there just see, "The Jazz are playing horrible right now. Let's trade so we can be better this season."

Yep you are way smarter than KOC who is considered by most people in the business one of the best GM's in the league. He has made us competitive most years since losing Stockton and Malone in the market that is considered by the players the most disliked place to play, hence least likely to land a decent free agent/ has to over pay to get players and keep players. He has built a team that is out performing everyone in the leagues expectations and has one of the brightest futures. We have great young core in place and some great picks and trading chips on our team to build up with. He should trade Jefferson/Milsap/Harris when their value is lowest and the demand is lowest right? I for one am so glad he has waited to trade. We want trading chips when the big trades go down near the deadline and when teams get desperate to trade for Dwight and others and will shed good players left and right for them. We are the perfect third team. Dont rush to trade just to clear playing time, wait for a good trade even if that means waiting. Our young players are playing even if the playing time is lower than what fans want, thats not the worst thing for them. They need to learn to play harder and smarter to earn time. Jefferson and Harris are also perfect trade chips for teams wanting a championship this year and have a need for one or injury creates a need for one.

The whole point of making a trade is to clear up room for the young guys. I guess you missed that

I didn't miss that at all. The problem with you is you are a typical fan who thinks just because ESPN Trade Machine says it works that it can easily be done. If you think KOC is just sitting on his hands doing nothing, than you're a bigger idiot than I originally thought. Which I hope is not true. So you'd rather the Jazz trade away Millsap and Jefferson for example and get nothing in return just so Favors and Kanter can play more? Yeah, that helps us a lot in the long run.

Oh ok. You got an extra seat on that wagon? I'd like a ride.

Hey this thread was inevitable. I just figured i would be the one to throw it out there. Im happy to do it. Because i genuinely think he is a terrible GM. Everyone is so happy that he has made us competitive. Well Im not. I want to win some championships. I dont want to be average. Id rather be at the bottom than the middle. At least at the bottom we have a chance to snag a guy like durant, wade, or lebron.

Players win games. Not GM's

Everyone needs to just calm the **** down. It's fairly common that deals aren't done until the last minute, and it's a pretty safe assumption at this point that no team is going to make a move until March 1 when newly signed players (like Josh Howard) can be dealt.

Just chill.

And coaches determine which players play and how much. Not GMs.

Plus KOC is known for playing the cards extremely close to the chest. Lack of rumors is pretty standard. The DWIll trade shocked everyone because there was no rumors of it.

I would love to hear about possible trade rumors but I love the way KOC works when it comes to this. I think a lot of trades don't happen because most GM's don't know how to keep their mouths shut.

You haven't got a ****ing clue what you're talking about. As far as I'm concerned, KOC is one of the most important parts of the organization right now. Ty and the rest of the coaching staff, Randy Rigby, the Millers... they can all **** off for all I care.

Don't blame KOC. Blame the inexperienced and underqualified coaching staff. Blame trying to shoehorn a score-first point guard into an offense that doesn't fit his play style. Blame a center who has been called a "black hole" his entire career due to his refusal to pass once he touches the ball.

Blaming KOC for this team's troubles is like blaming the chef because the waiter spit in your food.
