Wake up this morning and once again the stench of smoke is strong in the air. We here in Happy Valley had a break of perhaps a day or two when the stench was gone (even though that ugly haze was still here).
I don't know the stats but I can't remember a worse fire season here in Utah. It seems like literally every week there's a new fire breaking out and threatening homes. We've had far more dirty smokey days than clean air days.
Luckily, the only fire I've been a part of was when our stupid neighbor a few years ago lit fireworks onto some dry grass between our two homes which resulted in one side of my house receiving fire damage. Idiots. Anyone else have to evacuate this summer (or any summer)? What's it like? Post experiences here. Can you think of a worse fire season? I hate Utah's air (can't wait to move to the coast), post rantings here too...
