First NBA.com Power Rankings

I agree with the top 10 but after that whoever was making these predictions must have been smoking so weed. There is no way New Orleans is better than the Jazz. I think the Jazz should be around 15th-17th. I am ok with being underestimated but 23rd come on. Does anyone think Portland or Denver is that much better than the Jazz?

Portland definitely over the Jazz. If New Orleans gets back West or someone equivalent then I would put them over us. Denver will depend a lot on what happens in free agency.

New Orleans still has Chris Paul, assuming they make at least one decent FA signing, they will probably be better than us.

Considering the tail spin that the Jazz went in at the end of last season. Added to the fact that we have a very young roster with an inexperienced Head Coach i think the ranking is about were I would put them if I wasn't a Jazz Fan.

The rankings are pretty solid after 10 except the Nuggets, New Jersey and the Suns shouldn't be ahead of us.

Are these even relevant until all the free agency and trades get worked out? 23rd sounds low to Jazz fans, but I would guess that is where the majority of people would see us. Lets face it, we are no better than 3rd in our division and maybe 4th depending on free agency for the Nuggets.

I agree about the Nuggets. Until they have resigned Nene they are a pretty weak team. The Suns with Nash, Pietrus, Childress, Frye and Gortat are probably a little better than we will be at the start of the year. In fact if Nene goes to NJ that changes things a lot too.

Clippers will be higher. Because of the lock-out I also expect Golden State and Sacramento to start out looking good. (young gaurds capable of scoring in bunches).

The Jazz could be in for a rough start, depending on how much change Ty wants to implement and how complicated or how easy he makes it for the 5 young players who will have to play a role on this team.

I have been very vocal in feeling the same way. I would say that I have been blasted for it more times than not. I am glad others can see the light.

Could be very risky for Corbin unless he has complete backing from front office/Millers to play the young guys big minutes.

Sloan had complete autonomy. My guess is that Corbin will have significantly less than that, infact I'll bet he's not allowed to change the sitting arrangements on the team bus without a sign-off by at least KOC. If Ty plays Roger Bell 38 minutes a night while Burks and Hayward sit, its because he was told to.

I actually think Minnesota is going to surprise some people. Hiring Rick Adleman is going to help that team out a lot. Plus who isn't intrigued to see Rubio play?

I assume that the Millers know what they have and that patience is needed. They are smart people.
