A star.
Whether one of the guys you listed becomes a star, or we trade a few assets for one, or we get one in free agency or the draft.

I don't want it to be "we should have tanked". Gotta climb the lottery before it's too late.
And DL will draft another ballerina like Lyles. We're ****** while Lindsey remains in charge and a cheap *** board controls the finances.
Now that I'm living in the Bay Area, I guess I'll have to warm up to the Warriors. I hate being a bandwagon fan, but the team I've supported for 35 years is stuck in mediocrity. Jazz are about to become the Kings. Lindsey will preach his "don't skip steps" garbage again, and do nothing to seriously improve the team - other than a pick and counting on Exum to return. Then Hayward opts out and leaves, dropping the Jazz back into the lottery in two more seasons. All the while, Emperor Lindsey will play his fiddle while the franchise burns.
I will ****ing vomit if DL even tries to sell some "Exum is our big acquisition" crap to us after another offseason of hand-sitting.

So, how does the board feel about Hood?
Me? He's a nice player. A solid starter, an excellent sixth man.
I think Utah needs a starting wing to go with Hayward and another big that can play.
Exum/Mack/Neto
Starting wing/Burks
Hayward/Hood/Ingles
Favors/Lyle
Gobert/FA big to play when Favors and Gobert miss half the year
Technically this is the second retrospective game thread

Hood is definitely legit. I can't wait to see Year 3.
Define legit. This board has a tendency to overrate role players.
Is he Burks legit? Ronnie Brewer legit?
Hayward legit?
If you could get a starting two, do you do it and move Hood to the bench?
I agreeHood is a legit starting player. I think he'll be our best offensive player as early as next year.
Locke on 1280 said something like this:
"This season was supposed to be a season of discovery, an experiment to see if Rudy and Favors could play together, if the Triple wing would work, if Dante could play, etc...and the experiment failed.
The injuries kept the Jazz from finding out if what they had was good enough. And now the Jazz are down to one year on Hayward's contract and they are out of time to experiment, but they may not know much more than they did a year ago."
Lindsey has some work to do this summer. Difficult choices ahead.
