How can we help Corbin to see this? That is all I ask for.

My biggest fear is that Corbin will do the same thing next year. Give waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many minutes to Jefferson and Howard/Bell and still slowly bring along the real talent on this team. Jefferson really really hurts this team. Look at what he has done in his first two games back to the playoffs since his rookie season. He is not a winner, and he never will be as long as he is relied on to be the primary scorer/player for any team. He could be great on this Jazz team coming off the bench after Favors has his way in the starting line up.
 
I'm telling you, Howard starting 2 games destroyed our chemistry.

I want this team to show Heart.

Time for Burks/Favors/Kanter/Hayward to all play 35+ minutes to close this season. I guarantee you we will have more heart with them.

Howard really pisses me off. Plus, Al gets triple teamed and still shoots. I know NOONE shot well tonite, but you still have to make the rich basketball play(triple team = kick out)

The ability to make lottery picks disappear.
 
The Spurs shot a higher percentage from the field, from the FT line, from 3-point range, had more rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, and had less turnovers.

And yet the game was still close. I guess if the Jazz can win in at least one category then they might have a chance.

What game were you watching the game was only close for a short period of time when the Jazz made a nine point run. The Jazz lost by 31 pts. The fact is the Spurs are a lot better than the Jazz in every way except in offensive rebounding. The only reason they didn't have too many offensive rebounds had more to do with the fact that the Spurs didn't miss much.

The Spurs are a true contender and the Jazz are a long way away from winning the Western conference.

Sorry, I am trying to be funny but it looks like I am struggling tonight with that.
 
There's no point analyzing this. Not one player played well. Not one player is any more responsible for this debacle. There were no adjustments to make. This was an inexperienced team in the playoffs that became a deer in the headlights when the snowball turned into an avalanche.

The big adjustment for Game 3 is for Ty to make it clear we have to get into the offensive sets MUCH faster. I lost count of how many possessions where we had made zero to one pass before the 12 second mark. It's the clearest sign of a team playing not to make mistakes.

For the advanced course, we can't just labor to get the ball on the block so we can THEN run our stuff. Our entry passes have been abysmal (which is a whole side issue), but the Spurs are defending us like we're a Jerry Sloan team -- they know how we want to initiate the offense, they know we won't deviate, and they're just taking it away by overplaying the perimeter D.

Ty needs to incorporate some PnR from the wings, or at least bring Al/Sap up at the 18 second mark to run some PnR. We're playing into their hands with our predictability.
 
Defensively, I actually didn't think we played too bad. At least until we closed to 5 in the 2nd. But Ty got a little shaky when they went on that 149-0 run. We needed timeouts in that stretch, and he went WAY too long with Carroll. Hayward stunk, but he can at least do multiple things on the floor. I also wouldn't have minded if we went Big to close the half. But that's the only moment of the game when you can play the hindsight angle.
