What's new

Following 2016 potential draftees

What's the scoop on Diamond Stone as a NBA prospect? 39 and 12 tonight off the bench, on 25 FTAs. I know he was highly touted out of HS, but haven't seen him much and haven't heard much early in the year about him. 10-15 FGs, 19-25 FTs.

I watched parts of that game and it had me lmao. He was dominating the boards and getting fouled all the time. If they actually passed him the ball he might had gotten 50.

Interesting. I wondered where the fouls were happening. He has my attention now anyway.

So what are people thinking at this point? I'm really feeling a wing to fill out the rotation there (Hayward/Hood/Burks/xxxx) My favorite guy for our spot (mid/late teens) right now would be Luwawu. Think he'll be fairly ready for minutes right away and could be the best defender of the bunch. Lavert, Valentine, Newman, and Allen all seem to be worth looking at to fill that spot too. Just really not seeing much room for a spot in our front court with Gobert/Favors/Lyles in place and really want to keep developing Exum at the PG.

Luwawu's efficiency has been dropping off in the Adriatic league, and has a negative assist/turnover ratio. If you draft him, you're basically drafting for that freakish wingspan and hope it molds into something in a few years. The Jazz had a chance to draft a similar player in Oubre and passed, so don't see them liking Luwawu but could be wrong. A more "jack of all trades" wing is Furkan Korkmaz. Not as athletic or long as Luwawu but has a better shot and craftiness to his game. At 18 already getting some minutes on one of the better euro teams (Anadolu Efes, Dario Saric's team).

Would love love love Korkmaz as well. Expect him to go late lottery, but if he's there for us we should snatch him up.

One way he could fall to us is if it does not look like he is going to come over for another 2-3 years. He is shooting about 50% from 3 this year. Korkamaz plays Fes in Euroleague this week.

Sabonis pretty dominate tonight but San Fran does not have a lot of size.
