The athletic ability with him, Kat, Lavine, and Wiggins. My god. Did you see KAT run on fastbreaks? That team would be dominant with their athletic ability and Towns shooting would compliment Simmons playmaking. The only problem would be Rubio being on the team still (he sucks) and Wiggins developing his 3pt shot (that should happen eventually). Even with Rubio though, the playmaking on that team would be compliment each other very well.
He's turning 20 right when the Vegas Summer League is over. He's a "young soph" in my eyes. Mostly guys that are in their "natural" class age wise start turning 19 from September on. He's 1 year younger than Dante, but is getting drafted 2 years after him.

I don't buy the Simmons Hype.. As of now I see a good player in NBA but not a game changer. Also who does he guard? He is not nowhere strong enough to guard a pf in the nba and im not sure he can stay with the more athletic SF in the nba.. I would really not want the number one pick this year.I just think his ceiling isn't that high.. Id honeslty debate Dunn if I had a top 3 pick. He has the quickest first step in college. Has a strong body already that is only going get stronger.

When there's no space to operate with, maximizing playmaking is hard. The Wolves do not have a single good long range bomber. Maybe LaVine and KAT will become in the future. But look at the Warriors and Spurs and realize how shaky offenses are without 1 very good and at least 2 more reliable 3 point shooter.
KAT is a 39% shooter
LaVine is 35%
Gorgi Dieng showed he has 3pt range
They will eventually replace guys like Prince and Martin (but while they have Martin he is a good 3pt shooter)
Wiggins will probably learn to shoot
He is a perfect fit for the Wolves. Its not impossible for them to add shooting to positions where their stars aren't playing.

I get your point but BTP is being fair. The Wolves are dead last in three pointers made with I think 4.5 per game. That's bad.
And don't get me wrong, if he's the best talent out there I might still draft him and figure out the shooting later by flipping some assets. But flipping assets always requires cooperation of other front offices. And the trend is: You never have enough shooting. And the market hasn't adapted to that demand.
So shooting is expensive. Maybe it's overrated, maybe it's so valuable that it's still underrated. Maybe getting the Chip Engellands is the best kind of shooting that you want. Someone who develops shooting and doesn't count against the cap. Scout the most promising undiscovered shooters and put them in the lab. If they develop, you got yourself a bargain on minimum contracts with team options.

Hield is Curryesque. At least from college three range. Quick release and the fact he shoots 52% 3pt with the tough shots he takes and defenses focusing on him every night is just not normal.
