Woke up alone in Bed, Love it, this is how my weekends are at 8 AM since I am weekend warrior dad
14 year old teenager, Being a grump and playing on her phone like always
12 year old daughter is making pancakes and breakfast for all of us. She always do, she great kid(Call her lil momma for a reason)
10 year old boy, sleeping until about noon since I know he was up most of the night playing video games.
Ex wife- Who know, I don't care what she is doing with her current husband

Even before having my first, I also thought about how unfairly women get the credit for raising a child and Father's Day is sort of an afterthought. Let me tell you something and this isn't news. The (far imo) majority of dregs in society are those whose dad took off and were raised fatherless. A male role model goes a loooooooong way.
Yes... and nothing either of us has said in any way undermines, diminishes, or downplays a mom's role.
Just a couple dads on the Internet giving each other props for being good dads.

Yep. It's why a person, even soldiers as they're dying in war, always ask for their mama. A mom's unconditional, devoted love for their child can not be matched.
Because I have almost all boys, I asked my wife to allow me to do most of the disciplining as they got older. I noticed they resented her when she laid the law and would at time hold a grudge. Not when I did it. So I always talk their mom up to them, demand respect to be shown, and she's always right (in front of them - but not really).
I don't allow them to refer to their mom as "she" or "her."
I've noticed that once I made that change, the house became very much more loving and friendly and helpful toward one another.
All the kids know I've got their backs no matter what. But they cross mama and they get smacked.
