Following 2016 potential draftees

I think it's hard to accurately project Ellenson. He has great size and length to do a lot of stuff, but his body has so much potential to get optimized.
Will be interesting to follow him in the first couple of years and check if and how his mobility progresses.

Those who say you should not draft him because he is not a great athlete should look up Nikola Jokic. Also almost a year younger than Skal. Seems like some similarities with Jokic. Even heard the Nuggets with Nurkic at C are trying to slim Jokic down a bit so he can play more 4.

Thon Maker worked out in front of 25 NBA teams in NY and 1 NBA exec said he "performed well enough to be an interesting [1st-round] pick"

Not exactly a ringing endorsement but better than he is trash.

To me it seems like the start of the ascent through people's boards, because he was being projected as a second round pick before that workout. He's working out with the Jazz tomorrow. It probably is his first workout for a team.

Hope I'm wrong, but I've never been less interested in a draft.

It would be nice knowing that the Jazz were the first NBA team to jump on Thon Maker for a workout. It shows their keenly interested in him as a draft prospect.

If a GM loves him I doubt they will shout it out to everyone... they will want to keep his stock low if possible. I think someone gets intrigued and takes him in the late teens early 20s.

I'm hoping the Jazz stay at #12 and take their highest rated player, then package Burke, 2nd round picks and cash to move up for a swing at a potential home run that falls into a reasonable range.

Give me Korkmaz or Luwawu early and then any of Labissiere, Zizic, Stone, Maker, Qi or Sabonis later on. Have them both practice with the team (when in town), but play their whole rookie season with the Stars. Best possible scenario is to have Quin and Co. develop them, but give them good minutes and key roles out on the floor in a way that doesn't hurt the team if/when they struggle. Add P3 in the offseason and I think you could end up with a couple of really solid developmental prospects ready to contribute 2-3 years from now.

Guessing Luwawu must be injured he did not play today. Have not seen any type of injury report though so must not be to serious.
