Me tooLove that guy.

Here's the annual controversial draft-day trade idea:
--Jazz move Derrick Favors for a top-4 pick, draft Murray or Hield
Why? Because Lyles can start at the 4.
Favors is solid both sides of the ball and at a bargain. I'd rather keep him.
But, using your argument, Jazz could trade Hayward instead for the 3rd or 4th pick (1 and 2 are impossible to get).
Why? Because Hood can start at the 3.
And with Hayward gone that frees up a bench spot for Hield or Murray or whoever.
There have been plenty of skinny college bigs who have dominated. He lacks toughness, both mental and physical.
U actually think Murray would start over Hood as a rookie? I see him as more a career 6th man or good role player.True, but a) Hayward is a better overall player than Favors, and b) Lyles is going to start taking minutes from Favors this season, whereas Hayward doesn't have anyone challenging him for minutes at the SF.
A line-up with Exum/Murray/Hayward/Lyles/Gobert with Hood and Davis/Maker coming off the bench is a good, balanced line-up.

Post is wrong.Well, you and I differ on various players' value. I think Hood is pretty close to Hayward quality: somedays better, somedays not, but overall the same inconsistency as Hayward, with the possibility of being more consistent than Hayward going forward.
I like Lyles but defensively he's more significant drop-off from Favors than Hood is from Hayward. I know I'm fighting the general opinion of Hayward as some kind of All-star (doubtful), but I think people's minds have been swayed by the constant pro-Hayward propaganda. And don't get me wrong, Hayward's good - better this last year than ever before. But he's not as good as everyone at 1280thezone are saying. I'm not convinced.
So in all seriousness, do the Jazz really have the backbone to pull the trigger on Thon Maker at 12? Or do the Jazz just view him as a 2nd rd prospect at 42?
