Following 2016 potential draftees

This is not about buying in - this is about betting your house on him becoming ROY this year and NBA MVP in 2020.

Seriously though, I'm a realist. It will take us at least a year to ship Hayward off in order to give his playing time to Furkan. Rookie of the Year probably won't happen. I do think you are being too conservative about 2020, or do you just figure the sportswriters are racist against Turks?

I'm back from the future...

Then we trade Poetl with compensation to #15 and draft Furkan, because we are not idiots.

Seriously though, it is likely Toronto is smokescreening with Sabonis to keep someone from trading ahead of them.

I dont see how Toronto pairs up Valanciunas with Sabonis ,strong and tough they are but their no rim protecters.....I think Deyonta Davis might be who they go after

In the David Locke second podcast with Chad Ford, Locke predicted that the decision at 12 will come down to Poeltl, Baldwin and Korkmaz. The implication is that Davis, Skal and possibly D.Murray are off the board (going 9 - 11). There has been little or no mention of Ellenson.

Those three -- Poeltl, Baldwin, Korkmaz -- seem to be the BPA discussion at 12. It's not terribly difficult to predict, but I'm still surprised Locke would reveal that on air.

I can't get a read on how much the Jazz like Baldwin at 12. Could go either way.

Unless the Jazz have no intention of using the #12 pick for themselves. Of course with most everyone else reportedly trying to trade out of the lottery, maybe anyone who wants to move up could do better than #12

JV is not a rim protector? He is of course not Gobert, but he does a pretty good job of rim protection.

Cant remember did Ellenson work out for the Jazz?

#12 is a pretty safe spot to land for a team trading down, and still getting value. I just don't see anyone in the 5-10 spot worth giving assets for. . .
