Following 2016 potential draftees

Adel? Srsly?

He will likely climb to being Louisville's best player on their trash team. He could possibly make it to first round but he's nothing special.

He'a also just a few months younger than Trey Lyles, which makes him damn old for the class, he'll turn 20 before march madness

2nd post ever! I personally like Ben the most overall. I don't think he's Lebron, I think he'll very much be his own player. However, I think Bender or Skal will end up going first. Gms just don't pass up 7 footers that can shoot with skill these days.
A guy the Jazz could take a look at who I think would be late 1st round atm is Deng Adel from Louisville. Strong chance he climbs in my opinion though. 6'7, great defender, strong, is a slasher but can shoot the 3 as well. He's a really smart player. Going to surprise a lot of people

lol... fail.
We still love ya tho.

Bender so far with modest numbers in Israel. Playing about 13 minutes a game. Of course though this is a professional league playing against grown men. Interesting to see if his numbers go up as the year goes along. Then again if they think he is headed to NBA after this season what incentive do they have to play him much.

Oh he's headed to the NBA.. the more I watch Bender, the more I'm amazed at his lateral movement and overall body control/coordination, he's a legit 7-footer with fantastic court vision too...

He's hands down the best prospect in Europe IMO.

I've become convinced he's still got plenty of room for improvement athletically - he can add more vertical explosion to his game..

Great plan.

Let's hope the FO is reading this thread.

I'm sure you can appreciate what a ridiculously terrible plan that is.. It'd almost certainly backfire on all parties involved.. It doesn't make sense on at-least 10 fronts

Thats a re-build plan anyway - I don't see how you could advocate that at this point, it's not about talent or fit, it's about Ben Simmons needs the ball to be most effective..

I refuse to believe The F/O's going to grow this team all near the same age, then hand the keys over to young Ben Simmons after seasons of grooming him on the bench.. Is that really what some here think its gonna take to get over the hill??? Sheesh.

C'mon son!!!! ****'s a pipedream, and not a well thought out one.. It's certainly not in Ben's best interests either..

most everyone agrees this team (when healthy) is good enough to make a run at the playoffs, considering the average age of the team, there's no reason to do something as drastic as an All-in move for Simmons..

Simmons skillset, especially at NBA PF deviates from the apparent direction the team/roster is being built in... Ben Simmons most "NBA ready skill" is his ability to jumpstart the ball movement, the Jazz are obviously built on defense and rebounding though, to me, It makes much more sense to upgrade the 3pt shooting over the ball-movement.

Yup, if we somehow lucked into the #1 draft pick through the lottery, I'm taking BPA (and yes I understand that is subjective and you probably disagree on who BPA is), not fit. Sorry if that is a terrible plan. To each his own.

And the Jazz just drafted Trey Lyles over Devin Booker, so that tells me they really value a unique playmaker at the 4 over a shooter on the wing.

Brown should be in the 2nd tier.
Dunn a bit too high.
Ellenson a bit too high.
Diallo a bit too high
Rabb a bit too low.

Not sure who else I move up.

Yeah.

Mykhailiuk is probably too high. He seems primed for a major bounce-back campaign, reportedly added 20lbs of muscle.

For a variety of reasons(Injuries/Weight loss) Ellenson is a wildcard right now, He shouldn't be beneath Diamond Stone on any mocks though.. I don't know how NBAdarft deduced that:confused:.. If Ellenson shoots 3's, grabs rebounds and showcases his handle, he will get drafted near the lottery.

I've gone back and forth on Diallo - I've settled on him being very low risk, he might not ever be all that skilled, I think he can avoid the pitfalls of Tyrus Thomas and Bismack Biyombo though, he's no one trick pony. I think he'll somehow be very productive..

I could see an NBA team viewing him as a great change of pace off the bench, he's very raw, but there's aspects of his game that are ready to contribute.

Ultimately Rabb's probably a better long term project. It's a safe bet that those international players listed, won't all declare this year.. probably just one of Zhou Qi or Jonathan Jeanne, which would bump Rabb up a spot into the lottery.

Agree with all that. Diallo is pretty safe due to athleticism and motor.
