Good luck in the D League.

Luwawu = cool name
Korkmaz = stupid name

Always go with BPN.

No one named Furkan will be successful in the NBA. Korkmaz was the cool part of his name.

Luwawu posted blow out #'s this season, while joining a new team/taking a step up in competition.. Thats going to leave many with the impression he could just be scratching the surface in his development..

You realize which team he played for and which team Korkmaz plays for correct? Luwawu's team is a very low budget team that always plays the youngsters. Korkmaz plays on a team trying to win the Euroleague championship and the Turkish league championship that has very expensive vets on the roster. Saric, Granger, D Brown, Huertel, etc. If Korkmaz played on a team like Mega his numbers would be crazy as well. As you said Korkmaz is more than two years younger and taller than Luwawu. I would tend towards Korkmaz.

I just believe, as it relates to the Jazz, Luwawu fits one key criterion that Korkmaz very well may not..

part of the reasoning behind this is because of how the Trey Lyles pick has worked, and if this is even partially true, the incoming playoff birth/urgency to get back next year would further reinforce this logic;

-I think they'll be looking for a player who like Lyles this year could potentially play a reliable role off the bench by the end of their rookie season, to the point where they can be trusted in the playoffs. Who also looks like potentially a viable starter/replacement/insurance in the future..

Korkmaz role would obviously be shooter but how skinny/'NBA ready' is he? certain matchups are going to go at him full force.. Basically I question how ready he's going to be at this time next year to provide a true punch or even new dynamic off the bench..

This is obviously of little long-term consequence but how would Ingles and Korkmaz look defensively on the wing together?? am I to believe they'd be passable, on this team that prides itself in defense..??

I am definitely looking more long term than you are. Not really looking for someone to help next year. However, again if Korkmaz played on a team like Mega his numbers would be great this season as well. Obviously Korkmaz needs to add bulk, but he is a good athlete and has long arms. His wingspan must be nice. No reason to believe he can not be a good defender. Two years younger will be a big help as well.

Whenever I hear the name "Terrance Furgeson" I just think about this:

Jazz land in the lottery like a cat lands on its feet..

I love it!!

Only really wanted to make the playoffs to see how the young players would show, to see Burks for a few extra games, and of course, to see if Hayward would choke -- Now if they make the playoffs next year and it doesn't go well for him, his playoff stats will be an eyesore going into his big free agency offseason

LOL .. that's funny but bittersweet at the same time...
