The Pelicans certainly have time... but the GM and Coach are both on the hot seat and those are the guys making the decisions. Ownership doesn't have to listen, but those guys have every motivation to get better now and they may lose Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon... Rookies generally don't help you win so of the teams mentioned they have the most motivation imo.

If you view Murray as a superior prospect to Hood I could see us making the trade. i think a lot of us would hate it.

2) giannis isnt. it was that ppl didnt know enough about him and didnt wanna gamble. the other guys you mentioned are all under the ncaa/AAU/highschool microscope. You know exactly where they are in their development and that makes GMs more comfortable to make an "educated guess"-gamble style.
Lack of intel was the reason that GMs passed on Giannis. You saw all the stuff that makes him awesome. It just wasnt developed. but ppl didnt know context or didnt trust the intes.

I don't give a **** what you do. But to state it's dumb to do a trade I never proposed is idiotic. Know your facts before you misspeak.
 
I don't think whiteside is good offensively.
When I watched the heat play I saw all offense going through their wings and pg's. Whiteside rarely got the ball intentionally. Usually just put backs or lobs or whatever.

Im probably wrong. Looking at his stats he averaged over 11 attempts per game and over 17 points per 36. (Only played 29 minutes per game though) shot over 60% from the field.
 
I think Thon can be KG like the version of KG right before the wheels fell off... decent 20 footer and good defense, but not as good laterally as when he was in his prime.

Thon, Davis, and Jones are so much more intriguing to me than Skal. I'm not an NBA scout obviously but it's hard for me to see why he is rated higher than these guys.

I also think the hate has gone a little too far on Diamond Stone. He'll never be a 3 point shooter like the NBA wants bigs to be, but he's huge, decent in the post, and was productive. Now he's a consensus second rounder... kind of interesting to me.
 
My most important things in a prospect is GREAT three point shooting first and athleticism (mostly speed and quickness) second.

Who has the best combo of those two things in this draft in everyone's opinion?

For where he's projected I really like Malik Beasley... Not sure he will be a defensive stopper but he's a good shooter and he's got a quick release.

Young productive and athletic. I wish he was a bit bigger but his rebound rate shows that he uses what length he has pretty well.

Probably Beasley and Korkmaz.
