He is definitely not a first option scorer. He is a defensive stalwart and an energy guy that fills the stat sheet. Think Pippen.
I will cry if the Jazz don't draft MKC. He has a good enough handle to become a good scorer in the NBA. The kid wants to improve so I think he will be a great player in the NBA. 19 rebounds for a backcourt player is crazy. I would take this kid number 1. I would be excited to get Davis too but MKC is my guy.

I'm honestly just shocked that he isn't higher on mock draft boards at this point but maybe they aren't being updated regularly yet?
Honestly, I'll admit, his "ceiling" isn't as high as others but I'd say at this point he's about as "sure fire" of a draft pick that I've seen so far. I just cant see a kid like that NOT succeed at the next level. He's my #1 for the Jazz at this point, by a long shot.

True about stats. One thing that doesn't show up is K-G's defense. If I had to rank them on a scale of 1 - 10, I'd go;
K-G - 9.5
Barnes - 7.5
QMiller - 6.0

I am from KY and hate everything about UofK. This is a school that named their arena after a racist, Adolph Rupp, that refused to recruit black players and he called UofL the blackbirds. Rupp recruited one black player in 1970 because he was pressured to by the president and that player left after one year because he was ostracized and treated differently. If the entire fanbase can forgive racism and go to Rupp arena every game and celebrate his legacy they can forget anything.
Their entire history has been one of cheating. They got what was basically a death penalty in 52-53 because of a point shaving incident during the preceding years. Then you get to Eddie Sutton who was playing players and it was during his tenure that the Embry Worldwide envelope with 1,000 in cash opened up that was on its way to a UofK recruit. But the funny thing about UofK fans is that they stand up for Squid because he was never named in any of the violations that occurred at UMASS or Memphis St but they all hate Sutton even though he was never named in any violations at UofK. I have family that are big UofK boosters and the stuff that goes on down there is sickening. I know for a fact that John Wall had a Mustang that was given to him by a booster. I also know that Terrence Jones' best friend magically got an academic scholarship and is driving a brand new Escalade. I don't know how anyone can cheer for them.
UofK fans are the biggest bunch of hypocrites in the country. They talk about leading the nation in wins but the majority of those wins and the championships under Rupp are tainted and should be stripped by the NCAA. I can't wait for the hammer to fall because it will and I along with the rest of the college bball fans will be laughing at all the stupid UofK fans.
