Following potential 2012 draftees

We will. Our own pick will be between 12-14 and I suspect all of the PG prospects (Rivers, Marshall, Kabongo, Teague) will be available. There are things I like and dislike about each of them, but hopefully KOC and company can sniff out which one(s) are NBA material and which will work with our young core.
As pg's go, and because Harris has turned me off to scoring pg's who can't run an offense, unless we are drafting Rivers to play sg I want no part of him. Teague can't run an offense, I don't have interest in him. I have no Knowledge of this Kabongo. That leaves Marshall, unless Kabongo has really good pg skills Marshall is the tops in the pg pool. PKM, where do you see Marshall going in the draft.

As long as GS is outside the top 7 it's looking like we will have two picks in the lottery as the Jazz schedule only gets tougher. Dont get me wrong I'm hoping they make the playoffs, but I'm starting to wonder if they will win enough games. If this plays out, my dream draft would be KG, Sullinger and trade Harris or someone for another pick for Marshall. This team has a chance to be the cream of the crop in a few years.

Kabongo has great court vision and is a pass-first PG. The main knocks against him are that he would often prefer to make a fancy pass instead of the right pass, plays a bit out of control, and is a poor shooter. He has good potential as an NBA PG, imo.

As far as Rivers goes, he would definitely not be a pass-first PG, but he could become an adequate floor general. He's also already a great leader, competitor, and would spread the floor very nicely (something we clearly lack right now). You can't count him out.

Marshall is top tier in terms of court vision, passing ability, and overall ability to run an offense. He truly makes his teammates better. But his mediocre outside shot and penetration really make me question whether his game will translate to the next level. It seems like those two things have gotten a little better recently, but it's still a big cause for concern, imo.

KOC has his work cut out for him.

I would think so. The main problem with it is he doesn't get much lift when he shoots and he releases the ball as he's on his way down (think Favors).

I think Favors fixed that, though.

What I noticed with Marshall is that it's just a really unorthodox shot...like Brewer almost, but yeah he just doesn't have form and so I don't know that it can be fixed. It's a shame with his court vision though. Who knows, we do have one of the best shooters of all time that can teach him

It's not even close to as unorthodox as Brewer's.

I don't think his shot is that unorthodox. I really believe the main issue is that he doesn't jump high enough when he shoots. He gets no power behind his shot, then will sometimes try to compensate with funky arm movements. It's fixable, imo.

It doesn't look right. His follow through looks good though. And you're right, sometimes he shoots on the way down and sometimes it's on the way up. Maybe that's all...but I don't like how his arms move when he shoots, something seems off.

EDIT: I think it's his arms. He doesn't pull back his arms and it almost makes it like a push shot.

Yeah, it's a weird shot no doubt. Seems a bit to rigid too me, but it's not that unorthodox.
