I like what I see in that he's aggressive, athletic, defensive minded, and pretty fluid in how he moves. A rich man's Ronnie Brewer with a better shot. He's shooting less than two threes a game but 45% is 45%. As a frosh. And this tells me he knows how to pick his spots rather than chuck.

And, hasn't hurt his assist numbers either. Marshall is getting his points in the context of the offense.

If Marshall can really make a defense respect him, then I want him and it's not really close. Sample size matters, though. It'll be interesting where this all goes for him from here.

He's a tweener but at 6'8", with an ability (as just a frosh) to show he can shoot, I see him playing the 3.

Before the game he told Cal he wanted Miller to start so he could get into the flow of the game. It worked. Then he went on to early foul trouble .. then late foul trouble. Worst game of the year for Gillie.
