I agree with this that is why I want lillard more.
 
With Hayward, burks and lillard you have 3 back court players that can instigate your offense. The question is can they all do it together with out having to dominate the ball?

I can agree with that but then would have no problem (if that is indeed still the feeling come draft day.....by then, with combines, interviews etc he just may not be a reach at all...) in trading with a team below us a few picks that really wants a guy in our range and picking up Lillard and another asset in the process.

Lillard seems to definitely need to dominate the ball to be affective. If your drafting him to be the primary playmaker then that's fine, but if the plan is to let Hayward run the offense or Burks Lillard doesn't work. If Hayward is going to run the offense it would be better to draft Beal or Rivers, who can guard pg's. More Beal then Rivers though, as Rivers likes to have the ball in his hand.
 
Speaking of Lillard, not sure if this was discussed before, but for those that saw Lillard play Nevada for the Big sky or what ever championship, this was the biggest game of his career, instead of taking over the game to start the second half he seemed to defer to other teammates every time, teammates that were far less superior in talent. Lillard didn't assert himself till the game had gotten out of hand. Makes me wonder if he had played for Kansas or KU if he would have been more like Miller. Am I reaching with this assessment?
 
I feel if we are going to draft a pg draft the best one available, and that is Marshall. You can still use Hayward as a point forward when Marshall is on the bench, but a good pg is always a better option running the team then Hayward as much as I like him, but a guy like Hayward is good to have to take pressure off the pg, and when the pg goes out the offense doesn't lose a beat like it did when Stockton or Williams went out for a breather.

So one post above he "dominate's the ball" and the next he "defers too much"?

I had the same question. The only game i watching him play in was that championship game against "Nevada" or if you actually watched it it was Montana. Getting back to the subject at hand, he seemed to not have the ball in his hands very much. Montana did all that they could to take it out of his hands and it worked a many occasions. He did string together a few possessions at a time that he was very ball dominant but he was also able to score playing off the ball.
