What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

Marshall's stock was already rising before he got injured.

Yes, Marshall was actually a bit of an offensive force in addition to his gaudy assists AND he was hitting from outside. AND THEN, after the wrist injury, the tarheels offense sputtered without him and this caused his stock to climb even higher. At any rate, Marshall's stock certainly wasn't hurt by his injury.

I think we're all saying the same thing - there was probably a misunderstanding or something.

Is it bad that I am now thinking getting the GS pick next year might be worth it.

Am I the only one that thinks they might me much improved. If Curry and Bogut are healthy, add to them an improving Klay Thompson and David Lee. GS could be a good team next year. Lee is putting up All-star numbers now.

... and add to that #7 in this draft ... they should be a playoff team, imo .. maybe easily.

I agree with you. I think that they are a fringe playoff team if not better. Of course health will dictate everything for them but they certainly have potential to be a good team with a winning record.

Btw .. I thought this would have been impossible, earlier in the year, but I am now seeing a possibility of Barnes being there at #8 and Marshall/Lillard there at #14.

I am somewhat torn as to what we need more .. a PG, SG (that can SHOOT) and a SF. How would you rank those needs?

About pretty equal.

Good pg's are harder to find sg sf are interchangeable, and easier to find.

At the beginning of the year if you would have told me that the Jazz had a chance of landing Barnes and one of the two best PG's in the draft I would have been to happy to contain my excitement. Now with the knowledge of the college basketball season I am not so sure that I love that draft. For the second of the two lottery picks I take Marshall every time. As for the #8 pick, I am not sold that Barnes is the BPA.
