Uggh, I wouldn't trade Kanter for any wing player. I would for sure give him up to get Davis, and possibly Drummond, but no one else. Not a huge fan of Kanter, but we drafted him so we should stick with him for at least the first 3.5 years of his contract.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to do it, but I'd consider it if I think there is a deal for a real difference-maker. Nice to hear you've come around a bit on Kanter. I like his effort on defense and rebounding. The question is whether a player like MKG is going to become a star.

Minny would be STUPID not to use the pick this year. If I remember right it only has 1 more year left and then all minny gets is 2 second rounders. If the jazz make the playoff expect minny to take the pick and probably trade it for a future pick to some team.

My guess if a team is going to give up a top 10 pick they are going to want more of a proven commodity like Jefferson or millsap.

I am not as down on Barnes as some of you are but I would not trade a lot to get him. Although he would be amazing next to Hayward. Not sure that a millsap for Barnes is a good trade we would have to get some more.

There are many definitions of 'star.' MKG will never become the flashy choice. He'll never put up 20 a game. He's like having an elite PG on the wing .. meaning, his bbIQ, his intangibles, his ability to change the game and make everyone around him better. These things go unnoticed by the casual bb fan. He'll be a quiet star. Someone that will always do more than the casual fan gets. He'll most always guard the opposing teams best offensive player (1 thru 3) .. will average around 6 boards and will FORCE TEMPO when he pulls down the boards.

He is one of the fastest/best I've ever seen on a fast break. Calipari told the team this year, "If there's a fast break and you DON'T get Gillie the ball, you WILL sit."

Do you think his shot is fixable? How much did he improve his jumper from the start of the season to the end? Does he work a lot on his jumper?
