What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

I think Barnes is a pretty skilled player to be honest with you. He relies on his jab step a lot to get free, which makes it so that he doesn't dominate the ball to score. It doesn't seem like he slashes much but I think it is because his game is predicated on his jump shot, not because he cannot drive. His pull up is nice and not many players have that in between game. I think that he's a little undersold right now because he doesn't flash his athleticism as much as he could. Also, shooting makes up for a lot of sins on the offensive side of the ball.

The Harrison Barnes I watched definitely dominated the ball, not sure what you're talking about.

I would take Quincy toward the end of the lottery. I still wish he had stayed in case we don't get the GS pick this year. Oh well.

In the games I watched he seemed like he scored pretty efficiently, mostly with jab steps and jump shots. I have to concede that he takes a lot of shots though. But hey, what do I know.

Not at all. Was just curious how the board feels, at this point, about those players. Judging by the repsonses it went;

1) Marshall
2) Barnes/Lillard
3) everyone else

I would put Miller at the Lillard/Barnes level. I would also have Rivers at that same level but maybe at the front.

I wouldn't say Barnes dominated the ball that much. Him, Henson, and Zeller all averaged around the same # of shot attempts per game. The only thing I really don't like about him are his assist numbers, but his role on the team was to shoot the ball when it was given to him for the most part.

He managed to get to the FT line more this year and improved his catch and shoot, and those were the two huge things I wanted to see be improved his freshman to sophomore year.

I still say he is Luol Deng with a little less defense and a little more offense.
