Following potential 2012 draftees

Cy: I agree that K-G's shot is ugly. I agree he's not a 'shooter.' Having said that, you should keep up to speed on his stats. He's shooting everything better than QMiller (overall %, 3's, and FT's), is hitting better than Barnes in two of the three categories (sans 3's), and is right on Hill's numbers (although K-g is only 14 games into his freshman season (and is the youngest freshman playing in the NCAA). Be fair, man.

Some players are better college players than they are in the pros.

And some people are better pros then college. What's your point?

Words out of my mouth. I called Rondo to be a better pro than college player after only 4 or 5 games of his freshman year. I think TJones is scary .. I'm concerned he will do ANYTHING in the pros (even though he's projected ahead of MKG in most mocks. I also think MKG will be a BETTER pro than college player.

I think Grant Hill is a pretty decent comparison for MKG. Maybe like a Scottie Pippen/Grant Hill hybrid. He's the player I want the most out of this draft.

Ok comparison from the limited time watching KG..... Wait.... Wait.....
Our very own Josh Howard in the 2007 season?? I'll admit I haven't watch too much but that came to mind

Hmmm, that really isn't a bad comparison. K-G, as a freshmanin college is already longer and outweighs Josh by more than 20lbs, so they do go about the game slightly differently. But like I said, it's really not that bad.

I remember when BYU played baylor that had a really small, super fast point guard that could shot really well from 3.
I believe he was a freshman, I dont remember his name though.

Anyone who knows who im talking about have any thoughts on him/where he might go in the draft.

I am unashamed to say that is K-G all the way.

I am in total agreement with you PKM. The first time I saw MKG play on the Junior USA team, I was impressed. He just has the "it" factor. I will be shocked if he isn't a star in the NBA. I got a similar feeling when I watched Burks play but my reaction to PKM was just WoW! I am not worried about his shot. The few games I have seen him he has shot it well but he can slash to the basket and handle the ball well. His defense is All-star level (including rebounding). However what jumps off the screen is his intensity and drive to win. I am just worried that he is getting too good and he might be in the discussion for the #1 pick or at least top #3.

I also like Davis. I was a little hesitant about his pro potential because of his lack of bulk but I would be happy if the Jazz drafted him too.

Another player I was impressed with was Wroten but I haven't seen him play enough to get a real feel for him. I am somewhat concerned about his supposed attitude issues. Nevertheless, the kid has a ton of talent.

I don't see K-G getting to top3. I see his ceiling in the draft (not career, but draft) as #4 and more likely 6 or 7. I think teams will be willing to gamble on the upsides of Perry Jones and a couple others.

I was a bit unsure of Davis, but no more. He has unreal length and, dare I say, Jeremy Evans type athleticism. Fantastic rebounding and the best shot-blocker I have seen in maybe 20 years.

Wroten does have some issues. I think most people are unaware that he was once mocked to go #1 in the draft (when he was a soph, iirc). More than him having attitude issues (though there have been some), I believe the bigger issue with Tony has been his non-existent improvement over nearly three years. Simply said, others that were behind him have gotten way better and he stayed the same. Whether that's a result of lack of effort or he simply matured faster, it's a bit of a concern.
