Following potential 2012 draftees

Just turned on the UNC/BC game. Marshall scored 6 points in the final 2 minutes of the half. Pull up 18 footer in a semi-break, nice contested layup (gotten fouled on the play before that also driving), then got fouled on a layup attempt and drained both FT's. Marshall certainly isn't a great shooter/scorer, but I think he is better than he has shown. He just has to learn to be more aggressive/confident.

I think Marshall has easily separated himself as the best PG in the country right now. Having said that, these 6pts in the first half have as little to do with his ability to score as QMiller's 3pt first half adversely effect his.

Certainly watch Wroten for Washington.

... and this is not a K-G / Barnes lovefest. We discuss about 20+ guys here and most are not that high on Barnes .. and there is no player that everyone likes.
Thanks! Didn't mean to say this thread is all about Barns and KG. Was more of a joke.

Hope you're right. Luckily, there's still plenty of time for Marshall to prove he's worth a lottery selection.

I would draft Marshall not in the lottery but in the first round.

Definitely. I've been saying around 16 - 19.

I've been very clear that I am not high on Teague, but I'll give him some props for today's game;
60% from the field (6-10)
100% from 3 (1-1)
80% from the line (4-5)
17pts
3rbs
4asts
1stl
2to's

Also, I know someone on here likes Damien Leonard. He had a nice game today for the Gamecocks. 15pts including 3 of 6 from 3.

I would say highest I would take Marshall is 12. Still be reluclant too, but that would be the highest.

I still think we have to take a look at Pierre Jackson though. He has been the fuel that has powered Baylor recently. Probably their best player right now.

19 pts, 7 assist, 6 rbs, 3 steals. Still shooting above 50% on the year, and 48% from deep.

I agree. Trying to get some intel as to why he's not mentioned.

Word. He is a bit undersized, but he seems like a Ty Lawson type of player to me. Lightning fast and a great shooter. Probably needs to improve PG skills, but they are solid.

Here's a quick summary of what I've dug up. Pierre is a junior with no chance of any growth, and at 5'10, he's simply too undersized. Couple that with him having never played opposite a legitimate NBA PG, yet only averaging 12pts, and more importantly, 4asts per game, and he doesn't equate to a real NBA prospect.

Going to the Michigan/Wisconsin game this afternoon. As I've mentioned before, Trey Burke (Freshman PG) has been something special this year. Improves every game with his decision making and leadership. Extremely hard worker. If Tim Hardaway JR stays for one more year, this team is definitely final 4 material.

Trey Burke
Tim Hardaway JR
Glen Robinson III
Evan Smotrycz
Mitch McGary
