Following potential 2012 draftees

This pains me spycam, it really does, but I think you are thinking of Machado. Who WAS leading the nation in that category about a month ago. It is now Kendall Marshall.

As for Lillard's assist-to-turnover .. not in the top 100.

Really? Huh...wonder where I read that. I haven't spent much time researching Machado, so not sure how I mixed that up.

4 TO's as the team's primary ball handler and scorer isn't bad.

Exactly, for the number of times the kid has the ball in his hands over 39 minutes, I'll take 4TO's especially considering how super low his TO's typically are, again, considering his usage.

This is what I was thinking of (ranked #1 amongst PG's in turnovers per possession, not assist/TO ratio).

From DX:

Lillard has also done a better job of taking care of the basketball thus far, cutting his turnover rate almost in half from previous seasons. This is quite an impressive feat, considering his heavy usage and how much his team depends on him to create offensively. To illustrate that, he actually ranks #1 amongst all NCAA point guard prospects in terms of turnovers per possession, coughing the ball up on just 10% of his possessions.

... and scouts have waited too long to get a good feel. It'll be interesting.

For sure.

I've been a supporter of Rivers, but if he doesn't come out...I'm not totally sure where I would stand between Marshall and Lillard. Actually, I would probably just want BPA (don't think Lillard OR Marshall are worth a lottery selection, in all honesty). We'll see though. Things could certainly change before draft day.

Between the two, I'd probably play it safe with Marshall than gamble on Lillard. I also wouldn't take either in the lottery. I'm a BIG proponent of BPA. It's just that this year is so stacked, that need and BPA are even more blurred, so you can almost go need ... except for PG's.

Oh no! I've started the PG debate again.
I think March Madness and with UNC being a top team, it'll be interesting to see how Marshall handles it...to see if he can take his team to the top, and how much he really matters to the team winning or whether it's just Harrison Barnes.

Most would say that Marshall has been more key to UNC's success than Barnes has.
