Following potential 2012 draftees

What happened to all the KG love? I know he isn't a shooter, but they are a lot easier to get then athletic sf's that are elite defenders. In a year or two the Jazz could be one of the better elite defensive teams in the NBA. With Favors, Kanter, and KG, that's a scary good defensive front line. Also add Hayward and Burks, who aren't defensive studs, they aren't liabilities either. Maybe Lillard would be a good fit to add to drafting KG, even though I Marshall.

Thoughts.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, dreaming of a championship zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, playing *laugh* duke and continue, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz NC/UK

As long as Henson is healthy and Marshall can play like 40 minutes you will be having a terrible terrible nightmare. :)

I agree .. but Utah is currently not a good fit due to its own shooting issues.

I don't know if anyone here knows who Kyle Macy is, but he knows his stuff .. Yesterday he said that MKG is the best defensive guard he has ever seen (that goes back to late 70's). Hyperbole? Perhaps, but still pretty high praise from a guy that isn't known to make hyperbolic statements.

Huge question right now is he going to declare? Also if Hayward keeps playing like he did last night, perhaps using our picks and perhaps Jefferson or Milsap to get a game changing PG may be something to consider.

Is shooting going to be that big of a deal if no one can score on you, plus the jazz can find shooters. Guys like KG don't come around very often. If KG were to fall to the Jazz I think they'd be crazy not to take him.

I'm hoping for that to be the championship game. Anything else, this year, would be a letdown for cbb.

If Kentucky or UNC don't make it to the championship game it's a huge choke job by that team. Both are easily the most talented teams in the country...by a pretty decent margin.

Well NC has lost to FSU twice so I wouldn't call it a choke job if FSU beats NC again. Anything can happen in the NCAA tournament with out it being a choke job. It is not like the NBA where you can lose three games and still win the championship.

I have been a huge supporter of getting MKG but my support has lessened a little due to the fact he is saying that he wants to return to school, he may get picked in top 5 and his major short coming which is his outside shooting. However, if he is on the board at #8-12, it is a no brainer.

After watching Tinsley with the young four, I am starting to like the idea of drafting Marshall more and more. I enjoy it more when a PG is focused on getting other guys good looks. Add Burks and Hayward, who are both good passers, and I really like that mix of players... however outside shooting is still a concern...

Agree with all of this. That's why Miller and Barnes would probably be better fits than MKG for this Jazz team (especially if we draft Marshall over Lillard).

A lot of people are down on Barnes, probably not enough for him to slip down to our pick, but I would love to have him because he is a really damn good shooter. He can't create, but he can spot up and knock down shots all freaking day. That is exactly what we need.
