Following potential 2012 draftees

What does forestry lead you towards as far as career choices?

I'm a junior at the U studying operations management.

Jobs in National Parks, wildlife preservation, general outdoorsy stuff. Not as good jobs in terms of availability and pay, but something I enjoy way more (being outside opposed to doing really boring work inside).

Definitely. That sounds really fun, it's definitely worth consideration. I'd take a class or two simply for the experience regardless of whether you change majors.

Not my style. I just make rash decisions based off of whims and hope they work out.

Back on topic. I have a gut feeling Arnett Moultrie may stay at MSU. I read a Renardo Sidney exit interview and it sounded like they didn't like each other at all. Sidney said he was mad at Stansburry because he only called plays for Moultire. Moultrie also did an interview were he cited some teammates weren't giving it their all and were being selfish (direct jab at Sidney). If the next draft is so weak, Moultrie could play himself into a top 10 pick.

Classic case of Money & security VS Lifestyle & doing what you love. Tough choice.. Took me about 6 years after I graduated to realise I prefer the latter. So you're ahead of me there..

Good luck either way.

Don't disagree.

From nbadraft.net;

Rising

Michael Kidd-GilchristMichael Kidd Gilchrist 6'7 SF, Kentucky

A case could be made that MKG, and not teammate Anthony Davis, is in fact the top player in the nation. While Davis gets more hype, with his freakish length and shot blocking prowess, Kidd-Gilchrist is the heart and soul and possibly the team's most indispensable player.

There's such minimal risk in selecting Kidd-Gilchrist. If he doesn't improve from now til the end of his career, which is unlikely, he could still contribute with what he offers physically.

He already maintains the strength, athleticism and speed required to successfully attack larger defenders at the rim, while his heavy activity level makes him an asset on the boards, in transition and defensively. None of these facets of the game require him to dominate the ball, meaning he fits into any lineup regardless of it's current personnel.

His ability to finish at the rim with acrobatic plays eluding defenders was on full display over the weekend.

Kidd-Gilchrist has moved to #2 on the mock, leap frogging a disappointing Harrison Barnes.

Cy, I hate to tell you this but Moultrie is entering the draft. He is not hiring an agent though.
