What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

I have barely watched Moultrie all year but when I have I've been impressed. Whats the knock on the kid/why isn't he in lottery convo's? Cy? Size, range, solid post game, crashes the boards. What am I missing?

Inconsistent jumper, kinda weak compared to NBA bigs, raw post game and he is already 21 because he transfered from Utep. Makes it somewhat unlikely he will ever bulk up.

Seems like a very similar player to Taj Gibson. A good player but little to no chance of becoming a great player.

Wrong.

Moultrie doesn't have a post game at this point. I would compare him to Millsap, but he is 6'11. He is a beast on the boards, especially offensive boards. His defense can be kind of weak, but he was also one of the leaders in minutes played in the SEC. He also had to play beside one of the worst defensive big men in college.

Athletic as balls, range out to the college 3. Good basketball IQ. Soft touch around the rim. Will end up being a beast because of his work ethic and want to improve. Will be an All-Star down the road at least twice.

Will be better than Perry Jones.

If any thing though his motor and work ethic are his best attribute. He did openly complain about his team not trying hard enough during their 5 game skid, but that was 100% called for.

He did have a couple of really strange games though, which I blame on his teammates mostly.

Like the Alabama game where he played 40 minutes, but only took 3 shots.

He shoots 55% from the field, 45% from deep, and 78% from the line. All while averaging 11 rebounds per game.

So I'm not crazy in thinking the kid should be in the lottery? Oh, and to some of the rest who replied, I also know the URL to draft express, thanks......
