Following potential 2012 draftees

Just saw that Thorpe says Doron Lamb is going to be the player this year that is drafted way ahead of where he should be drafted. Compared him to a Courtney Lee, but more frail.

Who knows .. but I will say that Lamb is calm, smooth, crafty, and nearly a career 50% 3pt shooter. Having said that, I could see him doing nothing .. preplexing .. which is why he's not a definite 1st rounder.

Yeah, I can't see anyone taking him over John Jenkins. Maybe though.

Also would like to point out MSU played the best 20 minutes of basketball against UK that was played all year.

I would take John Jenkins or JTaylor before Lamb ..

as for your MSU stuff .. I gave credit to them throughout the year .. more fairly than they deserved.

Lol, I just thought about it when I was talking to another UK fan friend. We legitimately seemed to do the best job of interior defense against Davis and Jones, and avoiding Davis's length. We were just too mentally weak to finish the game and MKG was able to exploit our lack of backup SF after Hood got injured early on.

PKM, what can you say about Alex Poythress? Is he a for sure 1 and done? Can he shoot? Defensively? Athletically?

Looking to the 2013 top 6 protected pick from the Warriors.

Poythress will move up the rankings, mark it down. Crazy athlete for his size (TJones with MKG atheticism). He's a real tweener, though. Doesn't yet have post moves and not a great outside shooter. (This is what Cal is saying .. media says he's a freak and off the charts .. I'm giving the reality version, here).

Next year's draft, btw, will be deep to around 12 ... in comparison to this years draft being deep to around 24'ish. Doesn't make it twice as weak .. just not nearly as deep.

Awesome. I could go for another year of looking at GSW's record.

The problem with JJ and jt is that they were one of the stars for their respective teams d lamb was not and found ways to contribute with out being the focal point that is what I look for in a second round pick. Lamb is also the perfect back up can play minutes at pg and sg. I would take lamb over those 2 we don't need a player that thinks they should start we need a player that can play a role.

Looking to the 2013 top 6 protected pick from the Warriors.

It is top 7 protected next year as well. Top 7 protected in 2012 and 2013, top 6 protected in 2014. If not received by 2014, Jazz will instead receive Warriors' 2014 and 2016 second round picks.

I just wanted to keep everything straight.
