Following potential 2012 draftees

I know some of you are scared of drafting Lamb, but you can't deny that shooting is arguably our biggest need and Lamb could help a lot with that. I know, I know...he only shot like 34% from three this season, but I think that's more of a result of his bad decision making (he struggled being the #1 option, I think his decision making will be better as a pro). Anyway, take a look at this from DX:

73% of his shots in the half-court come on jumpers.

With that said, Lamb was still a very efficient scorer inside the arc as a sophomore, able to use an array of floaters and smoothly pull up in mid-range, making things look easy at times. His 60% on 2-pointers this season was actually the highest of any shooting guard in our top 100.

He has his flaws, but I do think he's pretty good shooter. I think he could be a decent fit for us, for many of the same reasons that people would be ok with drafting Barnes.

I agree with all of this. Lamb isn't going to be our #1, he'll have more of an opportunity for open shots and won't have all the pressure. It makes a difference.

It really does. And with his length and athleticism, he could also be great in the open court and on the defensive end.

So defensively speaking, is Lamb > Barnes?
Athletically speaking, is Lamb > Barnes?

btw, I'm scared of Lamb too.
I'm less scared of Barnes but I dunno if I'm just still buying into his 5 min. ago hype.

Lamb just has a very high ceiling. His high usage rate did drop his efficiency, but he has all the tools to be an NBA star. He is a very young sophomore as well, still 19. Taking him does force Hayward into the SF spot almost full time though, which would work but is not ideal.

Lamb is overrated. I take Barnes over Lamb ALL damn day. Lamb is not a great shooter, does not have great size .. or handles ..

I'll be nice and stop there. He will be lottery worthy .. steady staple for a team .. but he will not be elite anything.

You just don't like him because you got your kentucky goggles on, and you seen one weird picture of him.

Where do you think he would have went in last years draft?
