Following potential 2012 draftees

I wonder if Portland is considering trading their picks (they have 4, including 2 in the early 2nd) to move up to get Drummond? A Drummond/Aldridge front-court is monstrous in size, length, athletic ability, and skill.

It would be really ironic if they got Drummond after the whole Oden fiasco.

I would be OK with it. PJ3, Josh Henson, and Terrance Jones are probably the better players available at 8, and I'm not a big fan of them.

Will be interesting to see if Barnes drops to 8 though, and if he does, do we take him?

Me either. I've warmed up a bit to T-Jones, though. Never been a fan of Henson, and I don't think PJ3 has the heart, BBIQ, or work ethic to ever approach his potential.

Not quite seeing the irony. Does Drummond have a history of injuries?

Idk, maybe ironic isn't the right word...poetic, I suppose? Just them drafting a center with limitless potential, having it completely flop, then draft the next center to come along with supposed unlimited potential...but a lot of bust potential, as well. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ***.

Damn, I didn't realize how crap the point gaurd class is for the next 3 years. It makes sense then that he's 8 or 9 on BPA lists.
I'm still fine with taking him at 8 or 9. And I wouldn't be surprised if Zeller is there for us at 13/14. Probably no Perry Jones, T Jones, or Barnes by that point.

I think Cyrone's right about Portland. Drummond and Rivers/Beal sounds like what they need. Basically, Oden + Roy all over again.

I brought this up once. Most here seemed to like him at 8. But if Marshall is also on the board....I really don't know who I would go with. Both seem like great fits for us, but I think PG is definitely a bigger need than SF.

Offensively they are similar but it looks like Tjones is a better defender.

They looked very similar throughout, then, when I got to steals and blocks .. I saw what I was expecting, PJ3 doesn't give the same effort in areas that don't reflect in the offensive boxscore. This exercise, for me, was not to determine the better player, but rather to get a better idea of where each player seems to focus their energies.

I thought that I would throw Royce White into the equation as well:

I added a category.

The thing most impressive about White is his A/TO. He's THE option on his team, so his scoring and rebounding are not surprising (I imagine TJ, in particular, would have put up much bigger numbers if not competing for Rebounds against MKG and Davis .. as well as scoring with EVERYONE on the team). However, with RW being the primary ball-handler and go-to option, his A/TO is very impressive.
