What's new

Following potential 2012 draftees

college bball isn't my strong suit (I've simply been too busy the past 3 years to give it much attention), but I'm guessing Rivers will be a guy that drifts steadily upward in the mocks. In other words, if we have two picks, I wouldn't count on him being available for the second. Just a hunch.

I think you're right. The NBA scouts that I have spoken to seem much higher on him than the mocksters are.

Still not feeling Rivers. What kind of hot shot loses to #15 seed LEHIGH? His quotes are douche-town, too. And I don't see the physical profile to help these other things.

My views are subject to change.

I can easily see that point of view. On the other hand, I think Rivers could wind up being the best offensive player in the class. Every time I think of him, I think the kid will not be denied.

I had an extreme dislike for Rivers coming out of High School. I still don't like him off the court but on the court I really like him. Yes, Duke dive bombed it in the Tourny, but that shouldn't be weighed as much as other factors.

He's 6'4" with slightly above-average athleticism. He'll get denied fairly often, I'd guess, but he could be great if he patterned his game after D.Will. He has some of that same fire and feel for the game.

You can hate his cockiness, but I think the Jazz could use some swagger. Watch.

I agree with this statement, but with a caution. I think it will be very difficult for him for the first two years in the league. I think by year 3 he will be angry and things will flow easily. It might just happen by year 2.

D Will is a bit of a monster-specimen in regards to his strength and power, though. Rivers looks like an ectomorph, though (which is not always a killer, but it is not a good sign, especially for his what-appears-to-be unimpressive height and length).

But again, my views can change. The combine will be interesting.

Rivers and Lamb are both going to be studs in the NBA, and almost everyone here is not so high on them . You all are crazy and are going to be eating crow in a couple years.

Rivers will be better than both Lillard and Marshall

Lamb will be the best shooting guard in this draft. And I believe he will be an Allstar at some point too.
(I'm predicting Rivers will play point, if not I say Lamb will be better than Rivers.)

If the Jazz can land either one then I will be extremely happy.

So, what is it about JLamb's game makes you think he'll be the best shooting guard in this draft?
