Following potential 2012 draftees

I'm not really interested in anyone that the Jazz could have except Miller, and he's not going to be there for the Jazz's 2nd pick. But when you have such a huge influx of players, it just makes the draft better.

The entire starting lineup (in it's two major incarnations, too) of a particularly dominant national championship team is entering the draft (with 5/6 of them being underclassmen). The Jazz could never be that lucky.

Now I understand. Thanks for clarifying.

Just sayin ...

Spurs are talking everything they can to get DMiller. They are on him hard and trying to make sure they get him.

He is a very Spurs player. I could see him making most of the league's GMs blush for not drafting him if he somehow goes late and if he lands there.

They are the team that I fear the most when it comes to drafting. I can see Miller being extremely effective on that team. The other team that he could be great on is the Clippers but I don't have a lot of faith that they know wheat they are doing when it comes to drafting.

The one thing that the Spurs need to overcome is the lack of a pick in the range that Miller will fall. I know that things can change but the Spurs only have one pick this year and it is in the high 50's right now. I am sure that the Jazz have just as many player assets and they have more pick assets that they can use to move up if they want him bad enough. This draft is not coming fast enough.

PKM, We have a couple of employees that just got here from Lexington. One just graduated with a degree in marketing from UK. Anyway, I have enjoyed talking UK basketball with them. UK ball is bigger than I thought that it was.

Anyway, thanks for the insight. They seem to be impressed that I know so much about UK basketball.

That's awesome. Tell'm I said wuts up.

One thing I've been keeping an eye on is a future 4th big. A guy that wouldn't be too hard to get and to keep, but does nice things. Kyle O'Quinn interests me a lot. Henry Sims has also interested me for quite a while, but he won't be there in the 2nd round.

You could also just try to grab a guy in free agency, but if there's anything we've learned, it's that vets generally don't take well to marginalized roles even if they aren't good. That, and big men that can play in general are hard to find.

I agree with our about Kyle O'Quinn. He seems to have a good motor and good length. His athleticism leaves something to be desired but hua other attributes more than make up for that.

Actually my draft right now assuming gsw continues to tank and jazz don't make the playoffs is

Terrance jones - he can be the 4th big and play minutes at the 3. If he works harder could be the starting 3 maybe. But I like him off the bench.

Darius miller - in the second he will be the starter and is a perfect jazz man. Does a little bit of everything but doesn't have to be the man.

Then we will be working towards the name change of the Utah wildcats.
