Following potential 2012 draftees

So question.. if you had one pick and had to choose between the following players, who do you take?

Marshall
QMiller
Barnes
PJones3
Lillard
I think Marshall's impact would more noticeable, and more of an impact to this team and Favors. One other thing... Are you implying that there's no way Beal will fall to the jazz at #8, because I'd take him over the names you listed. Even Marshall.
I think Quincy is going back to school, I think I'd take Barnes. Harris has been playing so well that I have a hard time believing that Marshall or Lillard is a big upgrade.
draft Marshall sit him behind Harris, and let him learn from the bench like Stockton did. They could also play some minutes together.
Also, I give the slight edge to Marshall. It's going to be so damn hard to find a pure PG in a few years. There's none coming out and there are more than a couple of them getting old.
another reason to draft Marshall. I'm not at all interested in Barnes. I don't think he's that good, and we may be in desperate need of a pg in a year if Harris chooses to sign elsewhere.
Also, if Harris continues to improve his shooting, he could be moved to SG in some lineups if we go after Marshall or Lillard.
Lillard is too much like Harris. In this lineup Harris and Marshall cover each others weaknesses.
Maybe. But with how concerned he's been with his "brand", I doubt he'd be excited to be playing in Utah.
good call I've never considered that.

Harrison Barnes I think could have a glen rice career. Their games are very similar.

You could be right, but I see a lot of red flags with Barnes. He horribly underachieved until Marshall started playing, he was very inconsistent with his shot and overall game at times. I don't remember what he did in the tournament his first year, but this years tournament was not good at all for Barnes. I just don't see Allstar when I think of Barnes.

I hope I'm wrong though.

I wish Barnes the best of luck, but I really don't see him becoming a franchise guy. A fringe All-Star seems within the realm of possibility, like a Deng or Granger type?

I think whoever gets the 2nd pick in this draft will have the toughest decision to make. So who would you guys take? Personally, I'd be keeping in mind that the chance to draft a potential superstar isn't something you should take likely, and if you pass on that opportunity, it might not come again. I'd roll the dice on Drummond, as he's the only potential superstar after Davis. Thoughts?

That is what we need at this point, a Granger or Deng. I think Barnes can be a good 3rd scorer on this team.

I would on any other team in the lottery besides the Jazz. We already have two big men projects, I think adding a 3rd would be unwise.

Buying low. If he had destroyed everyone in the Tourney we would have no chance at drafting him.

I would be thrilled if the Jazz got Barnes and he was Granger. But I'm thinking he's closer to Deng without the defense... which is kind of yikes-ville.

Deng is actually athletic, Barnes is not. Also, Deng minus his defense is nothing more than an average NBA player, at best.
