There are very few elite defenders in the league like Michael Cooper, Joe Dumars, Rodman, Gary Payton, Pippen etc. Today the NBA is more of a 3 pt shooting league and the rules don't allow you to grab and hold.

What do you think of Lance Stephenson's defense? Is he good enough at the 2 to pair with Jabari at the 3? I'm asking b/c there seems to be a love affair with playing Jabari at the 4, something he's not close to ready for.

I think I'm more interested in signing Stephenson than Hayward for defensive reasons.

This is a very true statement. While there are varying degrees of bad, very few NBA players should be considered "good" at defense.
