Following potential 2014 draftees

I think Exum has the attack gene and I love his game.. a lot.
My only reason for pause is my own limited scouting (a la Schroeder)... whereas I've seen most of the other top 10 guys for years and dozens of games..

I'm always making fun of nbadraft.net......... but in their uodated mock they have Aaron Gordon at 24.
:jaw dropped:

Is that the same as "hunger gene"?

Watching some more Wiggins film, there are 2 things that caught my eye. He is 6'8" in shoes with a 7'0" wingspan as measured at the hoop summit. Add to that infinite hops and what I like the very most is his unique speed and mobility. You don't see the whole mobility too often, as he doesn't need them yet. But when he shows a change of direction on the dribble that's what amazes me most. And I really think he could be a similar case like Durant in terms of development.
Durant was very much in the mix as a PF who just needs to grow into his frame. He was measured 6'9 w/o shoes with a 7'5 wingspan at age 18/19. And everybody says he has grown since to the 7 foot region. His projections by DX were a "more fluid/athletic Dirk Nowitzki" as ceiling and Rashard Lewis as his floor. But his unique gift were his quickness and mobility at the given size. This is what makes him a matchup nightmare at SF. He is fast enough to cover the guys, strong enough to compensate with his freakishly long arms.
But in a similar manner I can imagine playing Shooting Guard at the next level when it's all said and done very well. I don't see a single thing that will hinder him. His handle is tight enough, and the advantage of the aforementioned skills are just too tempting. All those new age undersized SGs are gonna get poured in 30 on a nightly basis. To achieve that he has of course to develop the needed pullup/stepback game.

Now rip me!

Not crazy in the least. I think he's a collegiate SF as his offense continues to be refined and a SG in the NBA.
He's one of the most physically gifted ballers I have ever seen, ever.

Ye truely. But I don't like how you include Jabari as better than Rose. A healthy Rose is close to unstoppable as we have seen 2 years ago before the lockout. I think Rose was already a matchup nightmare at PG w/o a jumper. Imagine if he comes back with enough athleticism and an improved 3 pointer...But Wiggins ceiling is totally top3 out of all current NBA players(There will be like 3 generations of premier NBA player. LeBron in his prime. KD not being young any longer entering prime and up and coming sensational kid Wiggins) These will be the new NBA faces with Kobe, Duncan, Wade and Nowitzki leaving(Yeah I know you won't agree. But if you look at the performance you won't find a better player between 2000 and 2010 who belongs in that group)
