Following potential 2014 draftees

Is Tyler Ennis a better pro prospect than Trey Burke?

Chad Ford: Probably. That's the take I get from most NBA scouts. I think the analytics support that as well. But it's debatable.

Wow, I leave this place for a couple of hours and this gets completely derailed.

Let's focus peeps.

I want Wiggins. Exum is rising in my book. Parker is now #4 for me.

Cy is copying my selection from last season.........

you have no one to blame but yourself. welcome back

Do you really think Gordon, Smart or Vonleh are really game changing franchise players?

Honestly it's pretty tough nowadays to find sleepers, because draft scouting has expanded so much more in the last decade in terms of due diligence.

You didn't finish a school project in 4th class? The GM finds out. You didn't like ball games in kindergarten? Your kindergarten teacher might snitch...
(That's obvi hyperbole in case someone doesn't get it - It's just more funny for me to make a point like this)

Best shot is getting lucky and finding a late bloomer(that's what I think Paul George was. Bird admitted they never thought he'd become this good this fast)

Damian Lillard is the best case in the last 5 years of a guy that got overlooked for some reasons. Talent was there, just everybody read "Weber State" on his jersey and jumped to conclusions.

is saric like detleph schrempf?

You're spelling it wrong. It's Detlef. You're welcome!

Debatable

Debatable, but I guess it is how you define "sleeper" Look at 2009 so you have some history/ data on players. Curry was 7 (as much of a sleeper as Lillard was at 6), Derozan 9, Jrue 17, Teague 19, Taj Gibson 26. All preceded by far inferior players. No way to predict NBA success, but I agree scouting and analytics have improved team's ability to predict.

2010 produced 40th pick Lance Stephenson....
