Following potential 2014 draftees

Most every kid says they're in no hurry to leave as it's the politically correct thing to do... just some get quoted more than others.

By "he" are you referring to PKM?

I clearly said I respect his opinion on HS players (even though I don't care about it because I'd rather just wait for them to start playing NCAA.). PKM knows his stuff when it comes to HS guys.

I see everyone else as just regurgitating other people's opinions or just basing everything off highlight film.

Gotcha- took your post another way. Still came off as a dick though.

Maybe others have become more aware thanks PKM? Perhaps posters are paying more attention. It does seem there are alot of experts suddenly, but I think some of them are tuning in more. Good for the site IMO. More true bball junkies the better.

There is zero doubt there are many more people following recruiting and scouting than there were. I don't care how qualified someone is (doesn't mean I won't callm out doe)... I just like talking about players way before we get to see them play in the league... and I suspect others will/are find it more gratifying as well.

Julius Randle being similar to Lamar would definitely not be too bad. Yeah he isn't a franchise player, but I think people forget the type of production he used to put up. 17/8/5? Not very many players in the NBA who can do that right now.

I think Randle could better in the paint though-- and allow him for easier scoring. But is his passing as good as a young Lamar's?

Interesting comp

Randle is stronger and is as mentally tough as they come. I'm not ready to pass judgment on his passing yet, either way.
I think he will be better than Lamar ever was.

I should clarify.. Randle is a well respected passer.. I would just like to see a bit more. Jerry Meyer (Rivals lead national recruiting analyst lists Randle the best passing big man in this stacked class.

Randle returned from injury (having not played for several months and full of rust) to play in the state tournament where he scored 74pts in the final two games (he played the last 3 games of the season and averaged 35+pts and 17+rbs). He could be our future SF/PF with the #3 pick.

You reckon we'll get more fans if Jabari (aka king the or Mormons) is a coming out and we have a chance at getting him?
Yes. It will be epicly nauseating too!!!!!

My sources tell me there's discussion over updating the temple theme if Jabari gets drafted by Utah. There are what, 170 temples either in operation or announced/under construction. And each is topped by an Angel Moroni statue. That them has been done to death! The new design would have Jabari, arm outstretched as if to dunk, a golden basketball replacing Moroni's iconic trumpet. It's a PR dream! Few outside the Mormon faith even know who Moroni was, but the NBA is a global brand. Hundreds of millions of people will soon know who Jabari is (if they don't already) - and the Mormons can reach out to the pre-teen and teen demographic, the age in which young people generally start questioning religious beliefs.
