If Vonleh can somehow "light it up" from deep in the workout I think the Jazz would take a long hard look at pairing him with Favors (in the long term), with Kanter off the bench for that scoring punch.


I still like Randle, but I think personnel wise, they would be a lot more comfortable taking a guy who can stretch the floor next to Favors who has absolutely no range.

Wasn't you the one who proclaimed for a long time how developed Randle's perimeter game is? And lauded his shooting ability?

No.


All I said was Randle has the potential to be a great SF given his quickness, power and ball handling ability (for his size). If a team was willing to be patient and develop him at the SF, he could turn into a great mismatch there at the SF position.


Vonleh's shot on the other hand seems to be NBA ready and it's very likely that the Jazz would look at that as a positive.

if Bogdanovic is the pick, i highly doubt we see him in a Jazz uniform next season, IIRC his buyout is 1.2mil. However Bogdan is already a legitimate star in Europe, and watching his next season from afar could be alot of fun, I could easily see him generating the type of buzz where next offseason like Mirotic this year, people are mentioning "well if he was in this draft, hed go.."

I remember reading somewhere that he wants to stay one or another couple years more in Europe after the draft. I would really like the Jazz to consider him if we lose Hayward or Burks. But I would try to convince him to come right away, because he can really be the SG that all of us want for the Jazz.

Though, of course, stashing is always the safest option so I'd be fine with that too.

I really like Bogdanovic's skill and that you can use him a few different ways. I cannot wait to see him move off-the-ball next year, I'm expecting a step up in efficiency. he plays with a ton of fire compared to Burks or Hayward too (one of the reasons i want the jazz to draft him)...

for those unaware of Europlayers, id say Bogdanovic brings alot of the appeal of a Senior college player at 21, I've compared him to James Young, and i still like that, hes more polished. The sell on him in the NBA is, a 3 and D player who can create his own shot if asked

im going to search around for newer measurements too, Dx's are from 2010, unless he stopped growing, hes gotta be pushing 6'7"

Playing out of position at PG, his stats this season:

31 MPG, 14.8ppg, 3.7 reb, 3.7 ast, 1.6 blks, 37% from 3 on 7.5 attempts per, 75% ft's
 
I wish there was more talk of what to do with 23 and/or 35.. does anyone have a sleeper? (wheres the poster who was talking up Jordan Clarkson pre-season?)

at 23 id be thrilled to see;

LaVine, Hood, Warren, Ennis, Payne on the board

thats not realistic though, so im hoping for;

Porzingis, Tavares, P.J. Hairston, Bogdanovic or Elfrid Payton

the players im not going to complain about if selected are

Cleanthony Early, K.J. McDaniels, Clint Capela, Kyle Anderson and Jerami Grant

the players im going to complain about if selected 23rd are

Jordan Adams, Glenn Robinson III

thats not realistic though, so im hoping for;

Spencer Dinwiddie, Damien Inglis, Jarnell Stokes, Isaiah Austin, Jordan Adams and GR III

the players im not going to complain about if selected 35 are

CJ Wilcox, Jabari Brown, Jordan Clarkson, DeAndre Daniels, Klimenko, Micic, McGary

dont have too many possible complaints at 35, other than obvious an obvious overpay on;

Rasmus Larsen, Nikola Jokic or Thanasis Antetokoumpo

What's your thoughts on Birch? Has a great warp projection and is a monster defender/rebounder. Shade over 6'9 and had added about 30lbs of muscle since his freshman year. I'd love to see him play a Steven Adams type role for us and believe he could.

Love Jordan Adams though, been following him since his AAU days and he was always lights out.
