Very impressive work. One thing, Randle should be in the same tier as Vonleh whether it be one or two.

No, but technically Giannis, Lebron and Kevin Garnett had the same issue.

I guess one differences is that at least LeBron and KG dominated their non-NBA competition where Exum looked pretty much mediocre against his. GA wasn't very good in his rookie season, so maybe we should hold off on using him as an example in these situations just yet.

Source: The Bulls may trade both of their first-rounders (#16 and #19) for future firsts, to free up cap space for Carmelo Anthony pursuit.

Lets trade our 23rd for a future 1st or sell for cash and buy the 16th.

I fully support trading #23 for a future unprotected (or very low protected) 1st. We don't need 3 rookies on this roster. Two lottery picks in 2015 or 2016 could be nice.

Great post.

Even at the top, in my eyes break down Tier 1 into three separate tiers:

Tier 1 - Joel Embiid

Tier 2 - Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker

Tier 3 - Noah Vonleh, Dante Exum

This idea doesn't get enough burn in this thread. As far as getting great return on the asset, this option could end up a home-run.

I'd Target 2017 personally, with the GSW pick already there it gives the jazz a comfortable plan Z, to blow this team up if it isn't working by then.

though it could be a good idea to target 2016, as potential 2017 draftees are likely and rumored to be moving up a class.

Probable 2016 lottery pick, Jaylen Brown is exactly the type of player the Jazz could use.

Could jazz nation handle the return of Boozer if it meant getting the 16th pick?

Would the 16th and Trey Burke be enough to get Sacramento's 8th pick?

This only makes me wish that the Jazz kept Carroll even more. I never understood why he didn't get more run with the Jazz because he usually produced and always played hard...Oh yea Corbin..

Didn't you hear...he improved AMAZINGLY under Corbin. Ty took him from NBA scrub to regular rotation player.
In all fairness to Corbin, DeMarre was a hustle player who, although he improved his overall shooting percentage from 41% to 46%, still shot <29% on his 3's. His game exploded in Atlanta. Was that due to him working in the off-season or can a lot of the credit go to Quin? Would he have made similar improvements under Ty and the Jazz player development guys (Jensen and Bryant)? I tend to think it's a combination of the two. He DEFINITELY benefited from working with Quin. DeMarre says so himself. But Carroll was also driven to improve, so he would have worked on his game regardless. Now has he stayed in Utah would he played 30 mins/per? Definitely NOT. Corbin would have still gone with RJ as the Jazz starting SF.

huge shake up!!!!
This draft just got more wild...

Jason Lloyd @JasonLloydABJ
Joel Embiid's agent, Arn Tellem, confirms to ESPN that Embiid has suffered injury to right foot. Should know extent of injury by tomorrow.

Bill Simmons @BillSimmons
Also hearing Cavs were scared off by Embiid's foot, now focusing on Jabari or Wiggins (Jabari is the favorite). Unbelievable turn of events.

Really bad news for us.

Us being those who want jabari or wiggins. It will be a lot harder to trade up to 1 vs 2 or 3.

Chicago doesn't need to do that trade. They can amnesty Carlos.
DL should step in and grab the extra picks. However, he's stated the scouting staff needs to justify using the 23rd and 35th on players, so he may not want additional assets this season. If I were Dennis, I'd definitely try to get one of those picks. Cash and the 35th might be enough to do it since the 35th is pretty high, but still not guaranteed. It would be make a lot of sense for Chicago.
