Following potential 2014 draftees

As far as I know, he took a rented car, acted a bit selfishly and smoked some pot. So basically like every other major athlete at a major school (except Duke of course, they're perfect little angels).

You also have to realize there is no leadership on that squad. Roy doesn't give a ****, and the players don't give a ****. Here we actually have a semblance of players who give a **** (Burke, Hayward, Favors) and I'm sure we'll pick up some veteran leadership as well. I don't think it's as much of an issue as you're making it out to be, but of course, I don't know all of the details.

The rented car was provided by a felon and booster. There was also hardware in the vehicle that was thrown out (and recovered) before being pulled over. That's what most know.

The rest - Before that became public, he had gotten pulled over two other times for speeding, two different vehicles, all provided by boosters.
Then, AFTER all of it came to light and he was suspended from the team and was told he has to STRAIGHTEN UP, he went out AGAIN, in a booster rented suv and was pulled over going 90 in a 45. Then, after THAT incident and another weak *** wrist-slap by Huckleberry, he did it again and was drinking and had open container. So, ZERO respect for whatever Huckleberry earns.

You and I may rightly blame a little of that on Roy, but for that not to be a dozen red flags is srs ostrichism.

I would have agreed with you about Hairston until all this stuff... in fact I pimped him pretty hard last year for this draft.

Having said that, I probably (undoubtedly) no a ton more about the details/timelines and other occurences that makes me greatly question the kid's character.

He's no where near elite enough to put him in my locker room... he's proven he doesn't deserve entry.

Yeah, all of that is pretty common knowledge about him.

Again, while it is a concern, there was a severe lack of leadership on that squad, and it started with Roy. Those guys knew that they could basically anything without getting in trouble, and they took full advantage of it. He's going to be in the D-League, and that should be a major wake-up call for him. I'm honestly not too worried about his "issues".


Since we're talking about him, I think people are understating how good he is. He was easily UNC's best player last year, but he was plagued by Roy's crappy lineups and offense. Roy prefers to initiate from the post, and if he doesn't have a good post and good PG, his whole offense goes to ****. That's what happened last year until he was forced to switch up his offense. Anyways, Hairston was averaging around 14 ppg in 24 mpg. Pretty dang efficient.

In March he finally got to play major minutes, averaging 31 or 31.5 per game...can't quite remember. It was also some of his toughest competition of the year. He averaged 19/5/0.9 and 2 spg while shooting 47% overall and 44% from 3 while averaging just about 8 3PT's a game. He also averaged about 0.9 TO's a game. Pretty solid numbers.
 
I know what he can do, which is why I had him mocked in my pre-season at #21. I just think he's a selfish dick.

What? That the NCAA is corrupt? Everybody knows that. It's not some huge shocker.

Hell, just look at the Miami football case, or basically any other case the NCAA has done. They like to protect the common names and money makers. They're basically the WWE at this point, with Calipari being the heel. You'll notice he never gets in large trouble, just little speculations that always keep the people wondering. It's a money maker for them.

Stop being a Hairston. You know I'm not saying they're corrupt (duh), but rather how blatantly they're now letting the world see just how much so.
They've never taken on the likes of the New York Times and CNN in their attempt to sweep **** under the rug of the untouchable programs while slamming the little guys into oblivion.
