Following potential 2014 draftees

Unfortunately Kanter hasn't shown enough to ever justify putting the phrase "buyers market" with him in the same sentence.

Just played the ESPN lotto machine 60x:

24x Randle (40%)
13x Parker (22%)
9x Smart (15%)
6x Embiid (10%)
5x Exum (8%)
2x Wiggins (3%)
1x Gordon (2%)

I just want to hear from someone that we have 0 interest in Randle at this point. Spent sometime looking at his advanced stats, and I am terrified of him.

Not at all. A Kentucky season is like a box of chocolates...you get a championship, runner-up or bite into a bad loss to Robert Morris.

Nikka please.. 3 of the last 4 years to the final four and two of those to the final game including a chip.
Only missed the NCAA tourney one time in 25 years.
Troll averted.

The frontcourt will be loaded, but if the Harrisons leave they will be awefully young in the backcourt. Wisconsin is the team to watch. :)

This. If Harrison's come back it's ridiculous (and I think they will). There will be 10 McDonald's All-Americans.
Without the Harrison's, though, we will be VERY thin at both PG and SG.

I doubt any team, ever, has been so stacked up front.

6'8 Alex Poythress
6'10 Marcus Lee
6'10 Trey Lyles
6'11 Dakari Johnson
7'0 WCS
7'0 Karl Towns

All burger boys..

Terrified is a little strong, but I've been saying this, mostly, for a long time now.

I'll be devastated is we don't get top 4.

Kentucky's gonna be this big next year tbh.

Ullis and the Monstars

According to Chad Ford's crystal ball....

If the Jazz get #1, it'll be Wiggins or Parker
If the Jazz get #2, it'll be Wiggins or Parker
If the Jazz get #3, it'll be Parker or Embiid
If the Jazz get #4, it'll be Embiid or Exum
If the Jazz get #5, it'll be Exum or Randle
If the Jazz get #6, it'll be Randle or Smart
If the Jazz get #7, it'll be Smart or Gordon

The fact that the Jazz have basically a 50% chance of ending up 5th or 6th leads to the high probability (40%) of choosing Randle.

Is "creative thinking" or "think outside the box" part of your Film school curriculum? Randle has a lot of SF skills and the required physical tools. He would dominate.

Guess not.

Isn't it also funny how we had the Big Al, Favors, Millsap lineup - and nobody complained.

Randle is much more agile than Millsap, is a better driver already at the young age, and is already a willing passer (ask PKM). He needs to work on his handle & 3pt shooting, but who doesn't?

What would it take to convince you he isn't a SF?

Look, he isn't a SF right now.

But when you're evaluating college players, you've got to project players for the NBA. You have got to consider where he'll succeed and THRIVE. As many posters here have alluded to, he isn't physically intimidating compared to other PFs, has short wingspan and not ultra athletic. He is quick, but down low in the paint, I think he'll really struggle trying to score against the likes of Marc Gasol, Noah, Hibbert, even Big Al.

Compared him to SFs, however, he's physically big and long for that position. He is already a willing passer and he drives the ball very well, has very good footwork. He currently lacks the handle but 3pt shooting, but those are things he could get better at.
