Following potential 2014 draftees

I was just thinking of what the jazz could with their own pick, Boston's pick and gsw not making the playoffs

#4
#8
#14

Parker (yes exum goes before him)
McDermott (a stretch but worth it)
Harris (a guard replacement)

Burke, free agent, Garrett
burks, Harris
Parker, McDermott
kanter, Evans
favors, gobert

Also, that roster would be extremely cheap so we could spend alot of money on free agents and be looking at a decent run in the playoffs.

Adding those players in this draft is definately a best case scenario imo

McD is a role player in the NBA.

Can't defend anyone. Not SF's, not PF's. No one.

Can't create his own offense. His handles are non-existent, despite being a senior. Doesn't have the strength to establish low post position, nor the length or athleticism to finish over NBA defenders down low.

He's an incredible shooter who hustles and moves well without the ball. Someone like Popovich could make good use of him, but his upside is really limited in the NBA, no doubt about it.

I see a cross between Ryan Anderson and David Lee, but McDermott's lack of length probably limits him in the post (vs. David Lee). It would be worth working him out against an NBA defender.

Yeah, Nah, I wouldn't touch him. I'd probably even put him in my Marcus Smart basket - and that's saying something.

Your hate for Smart is so retarded. I understand if you don't think he's going to be an All-Star, but grouping him with someone who doesn't have the potential to be anything more than a role player? Come on.

McDermott is like a much better version of Matt Bonner. He has to go the right team, and have a very good PG on his team to succeed.

I do not think that we are that team, but I do like watching him play.

I just started reading an article. This has so much potential. Have to link it with a snippet...

https://grantland.com/features/bill-simmons-breaks-down-the-2014-worst-nba-contracts/

When we attended Monday-night Raw in L.A. last week, I gave them a $100 salary cap on whatever they wanted. They spent $60 on two T-shirts,1 $13.50 on pretzels and popcorn, and $9 on two Icee Cokes, leaving me $17.50.

Here’s the point: THIS ISN’T HARD. But had I brought Joe Dumars along as a spending adviser, they would have ended up with a $50 Rey Mysterio mask that my son already has, two T-shirts that were the wrong size … and then, they would have had to borrow an extra $30 for food and drinks.
