Following potential 2014 draftees

I was listening to Colin Cowherd interview someone (can't remember who it was) the other morning, and this person was saying that Jabari Parker's defense is horrifically bad and practically non-existant. I'll admit, I haven't been watching any Duke games this season...so I was somewhat shocked. Is his defensive effort THAT bad? If so, is he really a player that can get us a chip? Carmelo never got close to a championship...he's the first one to come to mind.

He spend 80% of his time scouting overseas. Doesn't really do a lot of college work until March Madness. The guy who does the scout videos (Mike Schmitz) is the one who follows the College scene.

He doesn't have the lateral quickness to stay in front of most perimeter players in the NBA, or even college for that matter. I don't think it's an effort thing, he's just seriously lacking the physical capability to do it. He usually plays the 5 for Duke, but the few times he's guarded someone at the 3 point line, he's gotten burned.

His ceiling as a defender is to be average, imo. He'll never be the defender that Wiggins already is.

He mostly plays the 4 not the 5..Everyting else you are dead right about

mock drafts are comparing exum to burks now. People who say exum can come in and provide impact are FAR FAR FAR off base.

This is no knock on burks either.
 
also. I think it's crazy how wiggins was 1st compared to MJ then to tmac and now he has fallen to like a derozen type. lol.

id be pretty excited if Burton was the 2nd round pick. reportedly has a 40" vertical, if thats the case i wouldn't complain if he was selected with the GSW, though its probably a bit of a reach.

6'1 but with a 6'6" wingspan hes got a quick 1st step and the strength to finish in the lane

TB3 is basically putting up #'s equivalent to a 29year old fat raymond felton... finding a replacement is a knee-jerk reaction and isnt feasible anyway, some insurance at PG would be nice Garrett and JL III get too many minutes
