Following potential 2014 draftees

Warriors fans think that they're somehow now a 55-win team and that they'll pass up Memphis and Denver this year.

I think they'll do well to get the 6th or 7th seed.

I think they'll have a very similar record to last year, if they stay healthy.

i think unless gobert is a dud, center will not be a priority for the jazz in 2014

so i hope all these guys declare

Mam Jaiteh and Khem Birch are mocked in the 2nd round, both should provide excellent value at those picks, also this 7'er looks good to me as a 2nd rounder

Aaron Craft, Spencer Dinwiddle and Joe Jackson are the 2nd round guards ive got my eye on.

Barring any set backs Khem will be coming out. Word is he is developing a nicely on offense over the past few months. He is already a defensive wizard. Love Khem. He is the type of player who rises so I don't think he will be around. Mid to late first is where I think he winds up.

yeah i was really surprised to see birch mocked in the 2nd round...

will he get pushed around? also i mainly know khem birch from his pittsburg days, id hope hes been adding some weight, hes still blazingly fast running the floor right?

the other player who i see mocked in the 2nd round that doesnt make sense to me is

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuTVjKqXn-U

dx's page says if he declared and was drafted this season, hed have been the first SF drafted into the nba whos hit 0 3's in college

Jakarr has the potential/tools to be a top notch defender in the nba.

He does a great job both contesting perimeter shots and sticking to his man like glue on drives to the basket, while his combination of length and athleticism make him theoretically capable of possibly defending all five positions at the college level. His isolation fundamentals, lateral quickness, and ability to stick with his man off the ball are all at extremely high levels, and he should be able to immediately contribute in this regard from day one collegiately.

also i see Kyle Anderson mocked in the 2nd round... looks like UCLA did this kid and Shabazz a great disservice, thats a shame... i dont particularly care for what ive seen from Anderson but i know rivals is usually pretty damn good

their 2012 "top 150" list is really odd to look at, imo

1st Shabazz (falls to 14 in 1 year)
2nd Noel (falls to 6)
3rd Kyle Anderson (apparently falls to the 2nd round)
4th Isaiah Austin (apparently out of the lotto)
5th Steven Adams
6th Ricardo Ledo (falls to the 2nd round)
7th Anthony Bennett (#1 pick)
8th Alex Poythress (probably in the 20's)
9th Kaleb Tarczewski
10th Marcus Smart

they did locate a ton of the talent and put them in the top 40 of this list, but to me this list just seems more innacurate than most of theirs, due to the order

He put on a lot of weight during his year off. Prolly closer to 210-215 now. I think he can get to 225 which would be ideal for the way he plays. Yeah he is crazy quick with amazing timing. Not just a rim protector, but great man to man as well. Last year was really his first year of experience. I liked him more than AB at times because he was always competing.

I don't think that's far off. Noel would be #1 or #2 in the draft if he didn't get injured. Ledo didn't play college ball. Bennett could have been drafted 4th - 7th. Poythress would have been drafted in the teens if he declared. Austin is a guy that needs to prove he has a clear position. Marcus Smart exceeded expectations. Kyle Anderson is still an interesting player.

Just because they're highly ranked prospects doesn't mean they need to enter the draft after their freshman year.

If I was a GM, his injury wouldn't be the thing that worries me. Ford said scouts and GM's told him the same thing.

Early 2014 Big Board for the Jazz:

1 Wiggins
2 Randle
3 Parker
4 Andrew Harrison
5 Gordon
6 Exum
7 Aaron Harrison
8 Vonleh

All those guys make the Jazz a better team. The first 5 or 6 would put us in the contender range.
