Following potential 2014 draftees

thanks for the reply PKM. I want to analyze him in detail as the year goes on.

Could this change if you see him shoot decently at Arizona this year?
Does this also mean Hayward can't be that deadly shooter from outside?

Another question. If you don't feel Hayward can draw people out of the paint is he truly the answer at that position?

I feel Gordon is the perfect pick for the Bobcats at the 3. They have a stretch 4, who doesn't possess a strong body. Their patience with MKG will prolly expire after this season. What I have seen so far from MKG both last season and after he allegedly worked on his shot this summer rings alarm bells for me. Either his muscle memory or his hand eye coordination are not a future NBA star worthy. He'd show more promise in shooting form and motion had he really the talent to be a good shooter. Won't even touch work ethic and stuff, as I don't know. Pretty sure he got his repetitions in.
So MJ wants Gordon, who'll attract fans to see his circus show. And everything more is a plus for both Gordon's contracts and the Bobcats success.

I think after the first 3 you can either go Exum or Harrison and I bet 1 of those two will be available at 7 even. The others don't have franchise player potential from what I've seen so far. Especially Gordon will be a slightly more talented Josh Smith. And you don't want that kinda guy to be your first option.

A few questions for you. So you don't think Kanter can be a stretch 4/5?
Will Exum or Harrison co-exist with Burke? How does that work?

Pick BPA

You absolutely have to pick BPA in my opinion and to me that is clearly Andrew Harrison. Take him without even thinking or blinking. We'll be set at the PG for years and years. Andrew Harrison + Favors/Kanter alone would get us to the Western Conference Finals for YEARSSSSSSSSS AND YEARSSSSSSSS.

He can drive it. He can shoot it. He can run the team. He is quick and he draws foul. What more could we ask for?

Spurs Model

The Spurs Model is tried and tested. Remember who the Spurs have. They have a solid C in Duncan, they have a solid PG in Parker. The 1-2 punch right there. Then they simply fill out the rest of the roster with "3's and D's"... We already have Hayward for that - just pick another guy with the GSW pick that fills that role (GRIII, Aaron Harrison, Gary Harris) and we're set for LIFE.

So Burke is gone? We wasted our pick this year? ****

??? How so??? If he develops well - GREAT - he's 1 more asset we have in our hands.

- Use him as a backup?

- Trade him for another '14 pick?

- Play Andrew Harrison off the ball at times?

So many options... the point is to accumulate valuable assets. Remember what HOU did to grab Harden?? Basically Jeremy Lamb, Kevin Martin and some picks. Burke will be a valuable asset whichever way you look at it.

I like where you are going

Call it gut.. but I just don't feel the Gordon thing on the court with Favors and Kanter at the same time. I'm not sure how much improved shooting will change that. Not that I would take him that early, but someone like James Young who is fast, athletic, long, and an elite shooting lefty.. next to Hayward, seems more right to me. More balance on the floor.

I'm looking at plan B here. Let's say we fall into the 3-6 range which is fairly likely.
We'll be devastated having missed out on Wiggbari.

So who do we take?

Exum and Harrison are 1s right? Would we be getting them to play with Burke?
Do we get Smart to be a 1/2 combo guard?

Who do you guys want in my scenario?

Always bpa. Having said that.. AnHarrison or Exum would be highly likely targets. There's also a chance that a WCS type big may become just be too much to pass on around 5/6. I love speculating way early.. but obviously players will slide and rise throughout the year.
