Following potential 2014 draftees

Top 5 is a lot to ask I think.
5 years from now 4 of the top 5 PGs are probably CP3, Westbrook, Rose and Irving. If he's the fifth he'd leave Wall, Williams(age 34, but I can imagine him developing post skills), Holiday and Steph Curry behind him. That's big shoes to fill. Lillard, Rubio and Rondo might be in conversation as well depending on how their careers develop.

LOL.. you've just demonstrated to me right there that getting into top 5 is a real possibility for Andrew Harrison:

- CP3 will be too old by then (what Billups is now IMO)

- Rubio - are you kidding me?

- Holiday - not elite

- Rondo - I'll reserve my comments since this is PKM's thread.

Top 5 will be:

1. Rose
2. Westbrook
3. Lillard
4. Steph Curry (big IF because of his injury)
5. Wall (I'm still not SOLD)

So I don't think sneaking into that 4-5 spot would be THAT hard... IMO.

I don't know if we learn different English in Germany and New Zealand, but I clearly wrote that I see CP3, Westbrook, Rose and Irving as a lock to be top5 PGs and the rest are in the convo on the outside looking in right now.

You only criticized Cp3. And I say CP3 is much more than only his quickness to play passing lanes and beating his defender in halfcourt.
Tony Parker is 31 right now. He's got way more wear and tear over his career than Paul will probably have at that age. He's still top5 and one of the fastest in the league. Why shouldn't Paul stay right there? Nash was also in that category until he was 35. I think you're heavily underrating CP3.

So you don't think Irving who has a more versatile offense than Rose and is posting better numbers at the same age is not up there in his prime? Many already view him to be Top5 right now(although that's not me yet). He has less upside to fill out as a scorer, since he's already up there, he might decide to spend his time and improve defense and passing. I don't even wanna think about if that's happening and he finally manages to stay healthy w/o minor injuries. That thought causes havoc to my brain.

I don't think Lillard will have much more room to grow. He's 23. He'll improve a little, but noch much more if you ask me. He'll get more experienced and stuff, but he's not yet an efficient scorer and a horrible defender. So he has to fix these two points first.

Curry is a great shooter, but I'll wait to see if he really can stay healthy for more than one season and if teams don't manage to take away good looks.

Holiday is already a good PnR defender, he's a good and willing passer, plus having teammates who can play will also help his offense long term. I think he's got a bigger chance than Lillard to crack the top5.

Wall for me is the same as Curry. He's got to stay healthy before I count him in. Plus developing a jumper wouldn't hurt. Making the playoffs is a must as well before I even talk about him.

With Rubio he's an elite defender and passer. I wanna see what he can do this year after coming back from his ACL tear before I rule him out.

Rondo is an elite passer, defender and his offense is slowly evolving(Look at his midrange shotcharts from last season). I expect a lot of his qualities to translate well into his thirties and that's why I don't rule him out as well.

The twins were re-measured today. Both 6'6 and 220 (only 2lbs difference between them).

If true, that's not only elite PG size, but much better SG size as well.

Has James Young been measured? He was 6'6.5" at 17 and haven't seen a measurement since then.

No kyrie irving? SMD

Hearing that if the season started today (but highly subject to quickly change) the starting line up for Kentucky would be;

Andrew
Aaron
Poythress
Randle
WCS

That's got to be a near record for starters in the weight dept, lol. (220, 220, 240, 250, 255)

james young and or aaron harrison sound like good consilation prize(s) if we dont get a top 7 pick

I'm buying Aaron right now. I'm high on Young but want to see him play at this level before I'm fully buying.

Though everything I'm hearing on Young is excellent defender, excellent shot, excellent rebounder....
