Following potential 2014 draftees

Line is out on tonights games.

SPARTY favored by 2.5 over Kentucky --- I would take Sparty
Kansas is a 5pt favorite over Duke --- I take Duke.. easily

Duke is actually favored.

I took duke -4.5 and Mich St -3.5.

Don't feel good at all about the Mich St bet. I saw an interview with Cal Jr. this morning with him saying all the reasons his team has zero chance to win this game. Jedi mind trick motivator.

Yes OK that's the politically correct answer - that's GREAT.

But can you just give it to me straight for once, bro?!?! Pretty sure you're close enough to the guy to know whether he prefers the ball in his hand top of the key (ala LeBron) or backing down low left block, (ala Shaq/Jefferson/Malone)?

But Dirk operates top of the key and elbow and he's no 3. How's that?

But Dirk can't guard SFs, Randle is more than athletic enough to do that.

Plus by playing Randle at the 3, we can keep BOTH Favors and Kanter - which is the key to the successful plan here. Have Randle as the drive & kick guy (who can also finish and draw fouls), and Kanter as the spot up guy. Favors is obviously the rim protector.

Kanter will be hitting wide-open 15 footers all day long.

I think KKK takes 'postions' too seriously. You put the the lineup that gives you the best chance to win on the floor (except in Corbin's case). You run the offense and match up the defense accordingly.

I'm not taking 'positions' seriously.

I'm just figuring out a way Favors, Kanter & Randle can all be on the court at the same time, ALL THE TIME, and leading us to an NBA Championship.

I love Randle's drive and HUNGER and I'd take him #1 in this draft all day, everyday.

Ah I see. Valid query

Then the simple answer would be that if that combination gives the Jazz the best chance to win, then that would be the case. The main problems would probably be inadequate ball movement and lack of dribble penetration. On defense it is obvious. If they had to hide Kanter and Randle, that could be a problem. There is plenty of time to evaluate this, however, so I wouldn't worry so much. If Randle is BPA in the Jazz mind when it is their turn to pick, they will take him.

Also, I can drive it long and straight, and I haven't eaten in a while so I'm quite hungry. Would you take me?

Over the past 2-3 games if you've been following my analysis on this you would have seen that Randle is more than adequate at dribble/drive to either:

1) Finish at the rim;

2) Draw a foul and get to the FT (in fact I think he'll live there this year); or

3) Kick it out to a 3pt shooter.

In fact he had surprised all of us with his ability to handle the ball and having enough vision to pass it out of double team or traffic for wide open 3 pointers.

Go back a couple of pages and you'll see plenty of video analysis supporting this.
