Following potential 2014 draftees

:D I like how you take that literally. The name was called by someone else and I just used it as a metaphore for good defensive BIGs if you read my name carefully. I don't see him backing down LeBron, George, Deng, Iggy, Wilson Chandler, Leonard, Smove, Batum, Durant, MKG, Ariza, Barnes and last but not least small forward Julius Randle to steer the thread in a different direction and secure (tk)³'s support.
Just my prognosis. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, maybe he decides to get stronger after half a decade in the league like other all-nba calibre players did.

What players today backdown guys more than a couple a times a game? Since the rule changes that got rid of player isolation (Malone, Hakeem, Barkley, Bird and Magic) backing down guys is not that big of a part of the NBA game. Besides just because he doesn't have it now doesn't mean he can't develop the ability to do so. I think if that is your only concern about Parker then it is a small one.

I have concerns about Parker which mostly do with his ability to defend on the perimeter. I think that is a bigger concern. All great players develop their game once they are in the NBA (Jordan and Magic were not considered great shooters) but they improved that ability once they were in the league. Many people doubted Bird's ability to guard people. He wasn't a great defender but he became a pretty good one as he matured and learned the game. He was crafty and seemed to get a lot of steals.

I have concerns about every player in this draft. Wiggins his motor and his outside shot. Randall - Is he going to be able to muscle his way into the paint in the NBA, his ability to shoot from outside and defend. It is debatable if these are really major concerns or just young guys who still are developing.

If the Jazz get a top 3 pick I will be happy with whoever is there, at this point I just think people are nitpicking and trying to sell who they think is the best. Time will tell if all 3 are as great as people think they are. ;)

It might be blessing in disguise if we end up with the 2nd pick. We take whoever is left over. Not as much pressure.
We don't want to Portland Trailblazer this one. If the choice is made for us then it might not divide the fan base as much.

If we end up with the number one pick in one of the bests drafts of all time it will completely rock jazz nation to its pasty core.
There are going to be hard core camps for Wiggins, and Parker, and also some fringe people screaming for Randle and Embiid.

BTW if we have the worst record in the NBA, and end up with the 4th pick in the draft right now I take Embiid. Holy **** this kid is fun to watch! Would be a gut nut smacker to lose out, but Embiid would sure soften the blow as much as possible.
