Following potential 2014 draftees

Wiggins might have Kobe's physical talent, but both Kobe and Michael Jordan are extremely tough competitors. They work really really hard and are mentally gifted players. Mental game matters. um, doe.

Kobe Bryant's rookie season was a craptastic season.

Andrew Wiggins is a freshman in COLLEGE.

its early but LaVine has some really nice stats going.. shooting 62% from the field, 55% from 3(on 3.4 attempts per game), and has only 2 turnovers in his first 140 minutes or so of college ball

What school?

Isn't relevant, but since it provides good entertainment there finally occured a brawl in Euroleague tonight where the guys actually hit their punches :D

Good stuff. Both teams have history with sportsmanship :D

So thats where Carlos Arroyo is now.

Wiggins is still clinging to the top spot for me still, simply because of his defense. I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't average much more than 20 in the NBA. Think he'll be very efficient doe.

If Embiid is a potential DPOY then I'd take him and pair him with either Favors/Kanter.

Trade the other one for James Young or one of them Harrison brothers. Grab a vet SF who can shoot 3's and D's.

The problem I see is that if you pair him with Kanter, he's going to cause as many points defensively as PF that Embiid denies at C. Offensively they would work.
With Favors you have a very good D, but your O is not existing and as I pointed out earlier this week. Can you name me 1 basketball player who started as late as Embiid who contributed significantly in the NBA. I can't. Best late bloomer case I know is Tyrus Thomas. DUH

Let's just see by the end of the season who has developed better: Kanter's defense or Favors' offense.

I just think we need a true 7 footer / shot blocker as our anchor and it may take a bit longer than if you take Randle/Parker/Wiggins, but ultimately you're gonna be a much better defensive team. And as you know DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Not saying I won't take Wiggins, but if it's between Randle/Parker/Embiid, then I've got a tough decision on my hand.

So you're writing off Favors defense? You know that Dwight Howard is 6'10 as is Favors. I think the benefit of Favors + Kanter is that big men are usually expensive compared to their production. If you can get 2 very good inside bigs to a reasonable price it helps your payroll a lot. And I'd rather have that offensive solution from the '14 draft. Then you can build around it.
At this point I doN't take Embiid before the 8th or 9th pick simply because I think he could very well be Chandler and not Hakeem. And in this draft you don't waste a top5 selection on Chandler.
